bilinvic's Wraith Rock Crawler

Turns out my new Hitec 7950TH is done....ugh! It's only a couple months old with only around three rides on it. I'll box it up and send it to Hitec and see what they can do for me.

Check out the ProModeler v3 servo, there is a page up in the electronics section.

I've been following that servo thread...but when I go to their website nothing comes up under that servo? How do I buy?

I just couldn't get on board with that servo. At the end of the day there is only one servo I keep coming back too. I love my 7990th but damn you have to keep your fingers out of the way. 611in/oz can pinch pretty good lol.

Can you take some comparison shots. I'm in the market for something new now that's a bit longer.

Here's the comparison photo of the three types of Short Course (SC) rear shocks I have plus the Gmade XD.

Left to right:

ProLine Powerstroke SC Rear Shock
ProLine ProSpec SC Rear Shock
RC4WD King SC Rear Shock
Gmade XD Piggyback 103

On a side note, the new ProSpec shocks are silky smooth and look like they are definitely worth the price of admission...can't wait to try them out.

Looking forward to your review! The ProSpecs look to be a tad shorter eye to eye than the powerstrokes but also look like they have more stroke. I need to get a set to compare to my big bores which are the smoothest shocks I've had so far.

Good eye SCREAMER.....The PL PowerStroke shocks are 102 mm extended and 74.7 mm collapsed. The PL ProSpec shocks are 100 mm extended and 68.5 mm collapsed.

I decided to rewire my Wraith again! I've been eyeing up the RC4WD aluminum "fuel cell" for quite some time and decided it was time. It fits perfectly in space between the rear shock mounts on the DMG Stiffy kit. All the electronics are now out back to clear up space under the hood. The MMP still resides under the driver's seat. All the wiring is neatly tucked under the driver's side interior, including the two Axial LED controllers.

The PL ProSpec shocks are filled and preliminary tuned...ready for testing; 55w rears, 40w fronts. Red springs rear, yellow springs front. I have removed the dual rear shocks for now, the secondary King shocks were limiting the travel on the ProSpec shocks.

I replaced the dead Hitec 7950 servor with a Holmes Hobbies Trail Master BLS HV400 servo. I've been using this servo on my Wroncho Bug and love it's performance. Still considering the Pro-modeler v3! I also replaced the plastic servo mounts with new Vanquish aluminum mounts.

You'll notice I have removed the five Axial lights from the upper light bar. These will be replaced with a LED light bar...more to follow on that!

I know you get tired of people telling you how sweet your ride is! So I'll just tell you if it was a woman id do her! She has got some sexy lines!!!!

Good info on the RC4WD fuel cell. I've got a TA SK from DMG and was looking for something to go on that rear floor. I may have missed it, where is your power switch for the ESC mounted? Keep the inspiration coming!

Seeing that I have my own company that specializes in custom headlights for 1:1 F150 trucks, I have an obsession with lights!

...and another upgrade arrived today; the RCBros knuckle weight kit. Really nice quality and fits like a glove on the VP knuckles.

Using the 2.2 SSD Assassin wheels with Vanquish SLW .600 wheel hubs I was able to utilize three .125 thick – .7 oz full brass weights plus one .125 thick – .4 oz half brass weight per side (total - 2.6 oz / 73 grams plus the weight of the hardware and knuckle weight holder).

I may have to order up some more of these kits for my other crawlers!

The total weight of my DMG Wraith is now 8 lb 2.3 oz without batteries and 9 lb 4.5 oz with a 5000 mAh 3s battery and a 1300 mAh 2s battery for the lights.

That is realy a great wraith, you just dont now when to stop do you

Does lights are the cherry on the top of the cake. How I would love to have a bar like that, its a shame that the shipment to my country is nearly half of the price

Wanted to say thank you for posting up the info on these knuckle weights. The only thing that was keeping me from ordering was having no idea, how many, of what thickness to use. Just got mine ordered but I deviated from your setup a bit and substituted a set of .125s for a set of .25s. I'm excited to get these on and get the weight off my wheels. You get a chance to do any shock testing/tuning on those ProSpecs yet?
