Berg Bible

No, the Dlux tubes do not have an outer tube bearing. They are only needed if you run dog bones. If youre running CVD's, you dont need that bearing.

That is good to know, I noticed the stock berg locker and VP CVD are a slip fit. Would a RCbros locker be a press fit? They measure .0955, on the part that goes into the locker.

Usually a RCbros locker is tighter. Going off your measurements and mine they are not though.

I have an RCbros locker at approx .0995" which would make sense because the tang on a Berg is usually 2.5mm or .0984". .001 is a really good fit.

Front Axles

So, you will need to find your shafts first and then choose the knuckle.

CVD are typically capable of 50* of steering while universals are typically 50* also but can be modded for 70* of steering.

Below must use the "Missing Link Locker" from Dlux:

Dlux FBA universals with 8mm stub shafts = Dlux knuckles
Dlux FBA universals with Axial XR/Wraith stub shafts = Wraith/XR10 knuckles and Dlux knuckles
SSD XR length CVD's = Wraith/XR10 knuckles and Dlux knuckles
Vanquish XR length CVD's = Wraith/XR10 knuckles and Dlux knuckles
Axial XR length Universals = Wraith/XR10 knuckles and Dlux knuckles

Below all use stock style lockers:

Super 300HD universal = Wraith/XR10 knuckles and Dlux knuckles
Super 300’s CVD can be either Ax10 or Berg and Dlux knuckles
Sloski800’s CVD are AX10 and Dlux knuckles

The only thing I would be cautious of is when choosing a knuckle, make sure you can get knuckle weights.

Dlux knuckles are all knuckle weights in themselves. There are some options you can find used for most the others but, they can be hard to find. Another popular option is the RCbros add on weight holders for the Wraith knuckles.

Had a blast today w my berg , these MOA's are so amazing.
Just broke my front Right axle shaft.
What deal can be had for front axle shaft or a a solid rear?
I have stock berg V1 axles
Front has brass knuckle weight which I think is on XR10 Knuckles
rear is using aluminum lockouts, so I could steal a rear shaft for the front.

I see Dluxfab has rear axle shafts but it says it fits dlux tubes. Does that mean there is no replacement axles to fit stock berg tubes?

oh and what is FBA?

for front shafts you can buy the missing link locker and run xr10 shafts if you want to go the cheap route. his fba shafts are the best on the market for sure.

I am so grateful for this thread, I have referred to it many times! Thank you
Mr. DeLux!!!!!

I’m looking to get another couple stock berg axles so I can take friends, are they still available on your website ? If so I can’t find where? I can see the super lights, I’m just looking for basic stock axles for an easy to drive bullet proof loaner. Thanks in advance.

only complete berg based axles on his site are the super lites for pro and for super.

you could however purchase parts to build a cheaper version.

you can use stock tubes if you can find them on ebay or facebook. use those with dlux replacement cases, saf gears, missing link locker and stock xr10 shafts. however you will need to modify the tube ends to accommodate your c hub of choice. "thumbsup"

an even cheaper rout would be the redcat moa's the axles that use 540 cans anyways. kinda sneek em in the hobby and get thier feet wet.
