Berg Bible

Wow awesome info Erik! Honestly this is something that should have been made along time ago for berg. I know when I made the switch it was very confusing at first but thankfully I had a very good guide to get me to where I am now! Thanks again for all that you do for this hobby!

Wow great info here and xr10 Bible.
Both theses threads should be stickies so they don't get lost.

Make sure you make note of the metric pinions needed to run Berg gears. many of us newbies didn't know without asking.

Here's some info that might be helpful to the newbie RC Comp Crawler

When I got into MOA Crawlers I was a newbie.
I spent hrs trying to figure out how to Program a 4 pk for dual ESC's and 4 Wheel Steer. After several frustrating hrs. I got it but the programming never really worked the way it should.

Who ever wrote the Futaba manual was not a normal person using real time logic.

Doing some research on the ole inter-web I found a couple of how-to videos by Harley

Programming the 4pk for Dual ESC's

Dual ESC's 4 wheel steer

Go do some research on U-tube lots of info there on most common RC TX's / RXs

Waa laa

Thanks!

I actually did this awhile ago. Problem was that it was just a "post" and not a sticky so it didnt really help many. Thanks to Eeepee and now Holmes, these are in their correct places with stickys. I hope it helps people. At the least, we can make people accountable for not learning. Before, it was too easy to sympathize because it was hard, now, the excuses for not learning on your own are growing thin.

Perfect examples of what I need for this post. Thanks guys!

I dont miss much sleep but I save a lot of time by not eating and showering. LOL

This is an awesome resource. Thank you for all the hard work and time you put into crawlers Erik. I seem to keep coming back to reread through this post to get ready to build a real MOA crawler. Thank you again.

I wish I saw this thread 3 months ago. Lot's of questions answered. [emoji106]

Looks like Will at rcbros.com has budget friendly gear sets for V1 bergs. Under 50.00 a set.

Hello Erik,
Excellent information you have put together for all Berg crawler lovers in this thread.

Recently I got a Berg 2.2 V3 and I found many parts which require an upgrade; and as you already mention I had been unsuccessful looking for upgrades, as well as for spare parts (i.e gear set).

Wonder if during this time have you collect some extra info about the V3.

Great Thread and as someone mention, it should not get lost in space.
Thanks & cheers,

Sorry, I dont know of anything that has become of the V3. I wouldnt hold my breath. Its been out for a long time with no support.

I am glad to see the V1 bergs are still viable, now just need to get someone to crawl with in North Carolina.

What about bearing sizes and where to buy? Should I invest in ceramic bearing or will standard steel ball bearing work fine?

Best regards and good thread!

Do your front tubes run outer bearings like this.

I just placed an order for a pair and I'm hoping they will work with the cvd's I have on hand.
