As a paying member, why do I constantly see ads? I never had this problem before until my recent subscription renewal. Really annoying. They should be disabled for paying members. I quit fb for obvious reasons (where I used to go for the hobby related info & here). I rely on rcc for my crawler & scale needs.
Is that why this forum is not as popular as it used to be?. Rant over

Are you on a computer or phone? I use AdBlocker Ultimate to block ads and pop ups on my PC.
One reason forums are dead is, instant gratification. People are glued to devices and want to get noticed immediately. If they post a question, they expect 20 answers in 5 minutes. Just my .02

I get the ads. Does not matter which device I sign in on. When I close the pop up I a more told I have to wait 15 seconds before I can open the page I want:lmao:

It’s likely just another example of the neglect this site has been suffering from for many years. While you may be told otherwise, In reality paid memberships keep the lights on, nothing more.

I get no ads. I'm using Chrome (adblock is installed) when on PC or tapatalk vip ($0.99/Month) on mobile.

Main reason I keep my paid membership is access to the cool RCC swag.

Vendors don't seem to do star-holder giveaways like they used to.

I really love this site (I don't engage with RC stuff on FB because it's such complete and absolute trash) but I (along with many others I think) sure wish the owners would just let a new group take over and update the forum.

I use like three ad blockers. The odd ad still gets through. Welcome to the internet.

Try ublock origin for chrome - it's catching everything on here with its default settings. Try not to use multiple adblocks as they can break each other.

Was wondering about the constant pop ups as well, I let me RCC star run out. If these went away with a paid star that would be worth it, they are annoying as hell.

"thumbsup"

30 seconds to add to chrome, refresh the page...NO MORE ADS!

Thank you!

Yes the ads are annoying, especially being a paid memeber but what has really been annoying me is when I click on "New posts" and I get a message that says you must wait 15 seconds to search please try again in 13 seconds, WTF, I didn't search anything, it's been happening for a quite a while now, a year or so ago this didn't happen, it should not happen to a paid member, or the those pop up ads. Rant over

When I click on "New Posts" it's a crap shoot. Sometimes it will bring up the new posts and other times it will directly link me to whatever banner ad that's running just below the "New Post" option. And I'm not accidentally clicking on the actual banner ad... always sure to click right on the "new post" option. It's infuriating b/c it makes my computer think that I actually want to click on more ebay, Walgreens, etc ads. Thankfully none have been "questionable" or generated a virus... not yet anyway. But yeah... just really pisses me off.
