I took the Sport to Beat The Creek 2019 in Maysville, KY this past weekend. It is a G6 style event that is held in the northern part of Kentucky near the Ohio River for the past 4 years. It was a great time and was good to finally get out do some awesome tiny truckin' for 3 days in a row. It rained on and off most of the weekend with the sun coming out by mid-day Sunday. It made for some slick and muddy trails but made it that much more fun to navigate the terrain and obstacles.

We arrived Friday afternoon to get setup and check out all the awesome vendors that were setup there. Later in the evening we did a night run on a few of the trails. This was my first time driving at night and it was a blast! It's a whole different experience in a pitch black woods with a group of tiny trucks all lit up.

Here are some pics of the first day:

3 days of wheel time! I’m jealous, looks like a great time even with the mud. Looking forward to seeing more pics.

They had a couple of fun little areas to do some tune & testing.

This is a cool little setup that one of the local guys put together. It provided some fun with some challenging lines.

This other test & tune area was a small part of the beginning of course #2. These pics were taken on day #1. By Sunday, they were a bit challenging with all the rain that we got.

Great times!

With all that rain and mud, what tires worked the best?

Hang up and Drive

Me and my boys were there as well. I ran a TRX4 kit with Sport body on stock Canyon trail tires, center lugs trimmed, and Proline dual stage foams, was VERY pleased with how they worked. My youngest son ran his TRX4 Sport with Proline Rubicon body, on Duratrax Showdowns with Proline dual stage foams and they also worked great. My oldest son ran his TF2 on China Rock Tyre TSL knockoffs with CI single stage foams and he didn’t have much trouble following us at all.

It was a good time. Got to spend a lot of time tiny truckin'!

I am running the stock TRX-4 Canyon Trail tires on a set of VP Roost wheels. I have cut and siped them. They really perform very well. My goto tire on this rig has always been the Pro-Line Hyrax in G8 compound mounted on a set of VP 101 wheels. After I cut and siped the Canyons, I think these out perform the Hyrax, but that is just my opinion. The Canyons don't seem to pack up with mud and clean out well. They bite and dig very well.

looks like you had a great time!

"thumbsup" BTC was a blast! Was you able to hit all the trails?

Day #2 brought the official start of BTC. This year there were 348 drivers signed up to tackle the 4 long and challenging courses. They even added a bonus 5th course for those who had the time and energy (and pain medication for us older drivers) to run if we wanted to. They ended up setting a record for the most drivers in BTC's 4 year history!

So, on with the pics:

Looks like a ton of fun, thanks for sharing the pictures! AMain themed TRX-4 Sport with VP Method wheels looks sharp! I spotted a nice looking CrossRC HC-6 deuce and a half too. Looking forward to more pics of the fun and festivities! :)

You're almost making me want to move back to Ohio lol! Great pics and what an impressive turnout! Really neat to see such a large crawling community there... envious. Some killer looking rigs... yours included.

Yeah, and I can almost feel the humidity. [emoji27]

Funny... I was going to mention the humidity when I first saw the pics because I remember how stifling that was in central Ohio as a kid... deer flies too... down at the creek/ back in the woods. But then I considered how bad the humidity and mosquito's are down here in central Texas this time of year and I quickly reevaluated my thoughts lol.

Well, believe it or not, the humidity wasn't too bad. The rain and cloud cover kept the temps down a little. Now the first day (Friday) when I arrived it was quite humid. Not take-your-breath-away humid, but humid enough that I could tell. This was the first time since battling a long winter that I felt the humid weather. Saturday & Sunday was cloudy and rainy, so I didn't feel the humidity as bad. The sun did come out later in the afternoon on Sunday, but temps weren't too bad since the cold front had moved passed. Bugs weren't all that bad either. I expected to be ate up by mosquito's.

Thanks Natedog!:) Yeah that CrossRC looked awesome. It was the first one that I have seen in person. It's a cool looking truck. I didn't get to see it run, so not sure how well it did.

Yeah, tiny trucking is pretty big in this area. Not so much around where I live, but there is in southern Ohio, Kentucky and surrounding areas. It was cool to see all the different rigs and how the builders put their own spin on them.

There are a couple other big events in southern Ohio that I attend. The Team KNK TTC in June and Feelin' Frosty Fun Run G6 in October. Both of these events keep growing every year and setting attendance records.

Great group turnout Had to be a blast!!

Hang up and Drive

It was and I am really looking forward to next year! It should be even bigger and better!

Thanks guys for looking. I will try to get more pics up today.

Here are the next batch of pics from Course #1. We had no rain until I got about 20 minutes away from the finish. The rain started out light and the trees shielded most of the rain, but as I got closer to the finish line the rain picked up.

I agree with the above comment. Your rig is very easy to spot... even in a crowd like that! It's also one of the better looking rigs regarding paint & graphics imo.

Yeah I guess it's a little early in the year for those biting/ sucking little demons lol. Unfortunately they're really ramping up down here with so much recent rain and warm temps.

Glad that the crawling community is thriving up there even if it's a short drive to meet up. I'm lucky to have one or two guys to run with at any given time. I told my wife that we need to make a couple kids in order for me to have a crew lmao.
