Do I have the worst build thread ever? Maybe I should sort this into two build threads? I started with a SCX10II chassis and switched to the MST CMX for the Sand Scorcher. What happened to the SCX10? Technically my 1st completed build turns out to be a 73 Tamiya Bronco body on the Boom Racing SWB SCX10II...

Thanks fellas, the driver is Sheriff Hopper from the show Starnger Things. They sell them at Target, the only issue with him was his beer gut getting in the way of the battery tray

Sounds just like my dad...lol

Lol! I had to surgically remove some of Hopper's gut to fit him in.
Don't feel bad...when I built my Imperial Capra, I had to chop up two 1/10 scale Stormtroopers (not cheap...collector's items) into approx a dozen pieces each, and then glue them into the cockpit piece by piece.

Yeah, I saw that one, very cool. I found a Harry Potter on clearance for $6 but he might be too big to use. I thought about putting a bobblehead on him...

Thank you for liking this in the Weirdo Noob thread! Awesome build! I love the spark plug wires on the engine.

This is an amazing build every step of the way. I’m going to attempt a similar one. My rig is already set up in full droop so I’m hoping that helps me with the “monster truck” affect you were getting way back at the start of all of this. I also am not going to be able To match your level of detail because It is unbelievable. The spark plug wires were awesome!

Thanks! I had help from Tossedman and HumboldtEF builds, they are the guys who do the really amazing stuff so check them out. Be sure to post a build thread and if I can help just holler!

Hey, don’t underrate yourself man. Yours is a great build. I learned a lot from how you do things. We build on each other’s experiences by sharing here. I rarely have an original idea I just run with those of others and try to make them my own. Your was is an excellent build and I enjoyed following along. Thanks for sharing. Well done.

Cheers eh,

Todd
