Honestly that truck just doesn't look right. Even though the 1:1 has curves the lexan just, well doesn't feel right. I wish I could point out something specific. Maybe the window pillar is tossing me off.

Broncos and Blazers don't look "right" or good to me me with the top off, but other than that the proportions of the Lexan body look fine to me.

It does come as a Deadbolt edition so think lower spec parts and the price is crazy at $419.99. The only lower spec parts that I saw, after a quick look, is the axles though. At least it comes with steel links as all crawlers and scalers should these days.

That’s not the Deadbolt cage. If it was then that means this body could be a drop on for a wraith cage. Unfortunately, That’s an entirely new mold.

I wonder if the K5 is on the 12" wheelbase or the 12.3. I think if you come out with the C10 and the K5 they should be on 2 different wheelbases since the C10 1:1 has a 115 wheelbase while the K5 sits on a 104.

Isn't competition supposed to drive prices down. WTF is axial thinking? At $339.00(and I can believe I am saying this again) the TRX4 sport is the new base model RTR. At least when it comes to more quality product.
Unless you are buy this strictly for the body, why would you want to? Is axial hell bent on continuing a business model that doesn't work. Is Horzion just pushing all the bad idea's they inherited out the door, before new management decisions are revealed?

WTF are they thinking is right with that price. But you know what? The Kool Aid drinkers will eat it up at that price.

This thing $10 more than their top level RTR which the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The better equipped Cherokee RTR is $30 less and that's still overpriced compared tot he Traxxas Sport.

I'll be in for one of these bodies if they release a cap for it. Without it I don't have much interest. Oh and it has to be well under $100 which is unlikely.

There's nothing better about this radio. It's still a supbar RTR radio. Steel links and universals are good upgrades, but not worth $100.

That came from an RC part manufacturer. They typically pay little to nothing for licenses.

You have to remember it's also advertisement for the car manufacturer.

RC parts licensing is mostly (not all) free. The logic being that the brand is getting free advertising and potentially new customers (kids growing up knowing the brand) for their actual real products at some point.

Body licensing (Chevy, Ford etc..) is not free as far as I know.

That red K-10 is a '67, and it looks like they got the front end correct. The grille, fenders and hood are different from 67/68 to 69-72 - good to see that they didn't cheap out and use the same mold for the the K-10 and the Blazer.

Also, if they continue with the 67-72 Chevy truck line, I will have an EXTREMELY difficult time not buying them all (I have a 1:1 '71 Suburban)

Does the chrome grille mount on the outside of the Lexan or do you have to cut a hole in the front like on the SCX10 II Cherokee body? Please say the former because the latter is a horrible design.

It requires some trimming so you can see the grille behind, but it's not as complicated as the Cherokee was. Pretty easy cut from what I remember. I did up this body in December, and I'm old. So... me brain not work so good.
