I have the spawn it comes with 32p spur and pinion.

Im going to be doing more climbing and trailing, not looking for top speed just enough to get up and over things.

Would stock gear ratio be okay for the 27t axial motor?

Would the 55t motor be to slow or does it have the speed to get over things aswell, and if so stock 32p ratio okay for it too? I know I don't have many options at 32p.

HobbyWing 1060 esc and 5000 venom 7.2v battery.

I would start with the 15t pinion and tune your rc based upon temperature 160 max when you first set it up check it every 5 minutes then work your way up. That is a nice comb for motor esc for what your doing. The 55t is very slow! If you need more torque check out Holmes hobbies motors.

Yeah i dont want turtle slow.

Trailing and some off road fun.

I think it comes stock with 12t pinion. Ill grab a 15t.

What about spur gear can i keep it stock

It should have a 57t gear but with 32p you should not need any extra. I've never tore one up. But it could happen.

I dropped from the stock 12t to a 10t pinion with the 20turn motor and it seems about perfect. More speed and power than my scx10 with the 27turn and the motor doesn't get hot anymore
