Axial 1.9 Maxxis Trepador Tires - AX12019

Ahh....gotcha. That is a good deal!

Yeah, the stock foams are way too soft....even on my really lights truck.

Best deal for price. Can't buy 5 tires, wheels, and scale hubs for $50 any other way.

Exactly why I did it too. It ended up being an extra $0.50 or something with shipping compared to getting just the 4 tires. The wheels will go on my IFS Silverado, and the tires on my LJ build.

I made a mistake with my shipping address though, so my tires are making a few trips across the country just for fun.

I received mine yesterday ..got them and my new rims all mounted up last night ..now just to get out on the trails for a run and see if they perform as good as they look..they are really sticky ..even more so than my new r35 ripsaws when they were new ..attached is a couple pics

Bumping an old thread with a question;

Anyone got any other good foam replacement recommendations than the lil novas for these?

Got a set under my ongoing Ultra 4 Ibex build & can already tell they're too soft. (I can completely fold them under to the wheel lip pretty easy).

You can see the squat just sitting there, this thing's turning into a pig

Thanks,

Total sidetrack/hijack, but in the name of explanation to a newbie, Benefits of each option?

I assume the single stage would offer more support at full height (better at speed), with the dual being more progressive for more flex?

Very good tire indeed!
I got it stock on my Rubicon RTR AX90028.
They are really sticky and grabs everything.
It is impressive to see how it can climbs and even with just the sidewalls!

But sometimes I would like them to be a bit more rigid on the wallside. The twist or fold sometimes under the steering force and weight. Also running sideway on a hill is tough to keep the bearing straight!

See one small videohttps://www.flickr.com/photos/luke088/15342933981/in/set-72157647677083011/
at 10 sec of the end see the tires flexing, more folding.
I am looking to the IROK for my next tires hoping sidewalls more rigid and heavier tire.
I cannot compare the weight of tires of wheels against the Axial ones, as they do not publish the weight of their tires and wheels...
Someone knows the weight of the Maxxis Trepador 1.9?
Thanks
Luke

Had them on the stock jk was not impressed thay get pack with mud and snow easy yes stock fomes way to soft thay would fold put the rim on ground and big for a scale rig
