Ascender K10

Turned out nice! I enjoyed the Ascender I had when they first came out.

I enjoyed the truck for a long time. Was time for a small refresh on the K10.

Until i realized how hard it was to get parts for it locally after HH decided to end the vaterra brand. So theirs a frame swap happening really soon.

Good trail bud will be doing a YouTube build series on it. I will be sharing the links to the videos when they are up.

New chassis being built and electronics have just arrived. For the body thinking of combining a Vaterra K10 Cab with Proline K10 rear. Not sure it it will work but only one way to find out.

Its coming together! The new frame for the K10. Longer wheelbase 12.3” to be adjusted later on to 12” if it feels to long. Might add some OD in the future but its not really something i normally think about.

K10 Trail King?

SSD trail king. It has all the upgrades i would of needed to do on a SCX10.2 platform. A more scale looking transmission and motor cover. Only thing it did not have was the adjustable ladder frame like the Vaterra/SCX10.3 for wheelbase and chassis length adjustment.

It arrived in the mail yesterday.

So after test fitting the Vaterra K10 cab with the Proline K10 cab i am kind of torn as to which to choose. Fitment of the Vaterra cab is so much smaller, on the other hand the proline cab fills it out better at the withs and wheel wells. Vaterra would look like a comp rig with pinched front end and all trailered rig not road legal type of look. Which look would you be after? Full bodied street legal. Or Pinched and comp style look?

Over Drive Tcase installed. Giving me about 20% over drive at the front wheels according to SSD specs. Never ran this much over drive use to 6% (stock enduro setup) so will be a new ish setup to me.
