Anyone de-anodized and/or polished their Castle motor?

I got a 3800kv motor I'd really like to 86 the green and go polished.
I have a Slate I took apart to check feasibility but looks like windings don't readily come out. Ideally I'd think the motor should be stripped down to just the can.
I used Easy Off oven cleaner years ago to strip anodizing off a couple shock towers which worked well enough but wouldn't want to try this unless I had a bare can.
Just curious if anyone here as done anything like this.

I have used Easy Off oven cleaner to remove the anodizing off my shocks.
But I still had to polish them up afterwards. I believe I used Mother polish to clean them back up and polish them.
Was rather messy if I remember correctly.

I wouldn't bother de-anything with any chemicals. Cut some fine sandpaper/emery cloth into long strips, and polish like you would a leather shoe until the color is gone. If you have a chuck big enough to hold the motor, you could just spin the whole can!https://a.aliexpress.com/_ms9D2Sq

Like many, long ago; Easy off for the chassis, shock, towers, ect…

But like you said on the motor I would be concerned about the epoxy holding them in. However if you applied it with a q-tip that might be worth while.

The hardest part with sanding/polishing w/o removing the windings is the last 1/4" or so of the end where the solder points exit the can.
I might try the Q-Tip suggestion and just try a small spot, or one of the grooves, but my recollection of using Easy Off is I covered the part then sealed it in a Zip-Loc overnight, then maybe a rinse & repeat so to speak.

Gula, ha, that's pretty cool, never seen such a thing.

Just for S&Gs I shot of an email to CC, see if they got anything for me.

The green really doesn't tie in with this RC. I've built essentially a Bandit w/Slash arms, and mounted a Capra cage on the chassis. Also flipped the trans so the motor is forward now.
