any crawlers in MN?

hello all i am looking to get in to the rc rock crawler seen ... just wanted to know what kind of platform to start with good or bad lol ... i live about 20 mins south of winona mn .. in caledonia ... i race rc10t4 trucks have 3 of them and i have two nitro traxxas trucks revo 2.5 and tmaxx 3.3 ...


just looking to start to build some thing for fun

A TLT is the best starting point in my opinion. Tons of support out there for it, and they are cheaper to build up then a clod. Though if you have time, wait for the new Axial crawler, that looks like a great truck for the price, under $300 for a rolling chassis with beadlocks and all. I know I plan on getting one once they come out.
 
Not really sure yet, there is a little bit of info on it in the rcx coverage, linked from the main page. I think it said the official press release will be out next month? Could be a few months before we see it, should be like any other kit out there as far as building it.

As far as a TLT build up, just look at various builds in the TLT forum for ideas. There is a ton of info on the TLT trucks out there. Be prepared to spend at least $300-400 to get into a TLT crawler though.

You should have some decent crawling area's down that way. I have family in Winona.
I would have to agree with EtypeR on going with a Tlt, or waiting on the Axial. Although I think I'd still favor the Tlt.

 
Well, it's been a while since I gave an update from our website's stats. I haven't been able to give any updates because our website host has made some changes. When we first signed up it was in their Beta stage. Once they switched out of Beta, we lost all of our stats. I just checked today and I now have stats from Dec to now.

*also, we've been given more storage space for pictures. The amount of pictures currently on the site is 17MB of space, we are now allowed 500MB. Needless to say I'll be adding a bunch of pics to the site.
The only flaw right now, is that I'm not able to edit the site from my home, only at work. I don't exactly know why, but I can only access the old version from home. I've tried to email their support crew, but have yet to hear back.
 
I would like to see the site move to another hosting site... I can not view the home page with firefox, the only browser I use. Well I can view it, but the images do not load.
 
Home page, in the main section there is a rotating image that only loads in IE. Something you wouldn't notice not loading if you didn't check with both browsers.
 
hello all, just got my TLT done!

yea I know its a stock chassis rig but I got some moab 2.2s going on with epede front wheels all around..

I put the stock TLT wheels and tires on to make it look finished since the wheels are drying from painting and im awaiting a Futaba FM reciever and a crystal for it from R/C car kings. I know 4WS isnt allowed in comps but I dont think I will be competing unless I buy a set of clod axles (purchase pending) from mudrunner4ever (mudrinner4ever on this site (typo)). But she's 99% complete!

For those that have not checked the comp section recently, we do have a comp coming up on April 22nd. This is before the MN nitro series starts, so Casey you should be able to make this, if you are in town.
