any crawlers in MN?

how old is the servo, how many times has it been used, what condition is it in, and how much do you want for it. i may be interested in it for my first crawler to save some cash.

Tman, I have a couple 645's laying around, they're used, but work just fine. I'll donate One to your crawler build, it should be just fine to start with. Also if you haven't found any Tlt axles yet? I just bought all the parts to build a set of Tlt axles at RC Car Kings in Burnsville, with bearings for about $80.00. Paul stocks them for us crawler guys. They're on the web at www.RCCarkings.net

Oh. I forgot to tell you guys that I got a new job. I work for Vetter Stone. I will be doing designs in Autocad and fixing the machines. Well running them ocationaly to. Starting out it pays more than my last job. When i'm trained in on every thing I should be making good money.

Congratulations on the new job Chris!!
I noticed the Season opening comp is on your B-day, are you going to make it a B-day comp?

by donating do you mean free? if so i'll take them. also i am currently in the middle of a transaction with dieselfuel for a set of tlt axles that are new, and only used for a mockup of a scale build that he never completed. i sent him the money on tuesday. EtypeR is selling me his old moabs for $20. i may take a look at a motor he is offering me. i just need to get money for the tires, motor, and driveline components. i am going to get help from casey because he also uses the xxx tranny. the entire driveline will run around 25$ of parts. a new 55t lathe motor is 18$, and the tires are 20$. that is about 63$. i am debating on weather or not to take my rtr xxx-t body and trim it up and make new holes. i was thinking i may want to rebuild my xxx-t at some point, but i just realized that by the time i may want to do that, i probably will be able to buy a new body for it. maybe i should sell my mamba 4600kv motor and get a hyperion 3013z.

my xxx-t tranny has an internal gear ratio of 2.43/1. it has an 88t spur gear. would a 75t axiom motor be a good motor? also, with that motr what would be the best pinion gear to use? holmes hobbies only has the 35t and 75t axiom motors for sale. xtreme rc hobbies has the 55t axoim lathe motors, but they are twice as much as holmes hobbies sells them for. would i be better off just buying a regular integy 55t lathe motor. dieselfuel said that axiom motors are alot smoother. do i really need the speed of the 55t in order to crawl well with a torsion tlt?

i'll keep the Show your support board for yas kevin , but i am going to need the $ for those scaler tires 1st :flipoff:

i'll bring the boards out to the comp so ya can check 'em out

I got a PM last night from yet another guy interested in our club.
Firewiz ( Dennis) will be driving up to the comp this coming Sunday from the Albert Lea area.

Welcome to MNRCRC Dennis!!!

Is there any pre-registration or sign-up needed for the comp? My son and I will be there to at least watch...

Thanks,

No, we have a sign up sheet at the comp, sign up/tech inspection/course building take place from 9am-10am.
Although, I was just thinking about starting a precomp sign up sheet on the comp thread, just to get an idea how many we may have competing.

If you have a truck ready? you're sure more welcome to run it in the comp. Either way, we also usually have a bashing/play session after the comp, so if you have something to run, bring them.

BLnut is also thinking about making this one, we just ran with him this past weekend at his first ever comp. He really wants to come out to our comp this weekend too :)

Thats cool, I'm glad he liked it, and I hope he does come up and run with us "thumbsup" Anyone/everyone is always welcome :)

On a side note, I was into Hub Hobby to get another set of steel yokes to re-shaft the 2.2. I got the last set they had, thankfully I only needed the One set "thumbsup"
Anyway, they're finally starting to reconigze us crawlers. When I asked for the parts I needed, he said " must be for a crawler"

Time to re-shaft the 2.2, and work on the front steering on the Super.

Yeah the one in little canada was asking me what lathe motors they should bring in, cause people keep asking for them. I have brought my crawlers in there before, so they know I build them :)

Yeah, it's about time. Car Kings is still my LHS of choice, but for the little needs Hub is closer. It's nice that they finally recognize me enough now to quit asking "whats this part you're looking for, for?"
Not everybody runs nitro, and not everybody runs a kit.

get back to work , ya bastage:twisted:

i'm take'n a break , baby is sleep'n , put headlights in dads truck , and workin on my scaler
(still need a ESC)

If you need to barrow a ESC at the comp, I can bring one with deans on the motor and battery wires. I have a spare Tekin rebel 2 and a Super rooster, also a few cheaper models which are not fully setup with deans.
