any crawlers in MN?

If the wheelbase is under 12.5 inches from wheel nut to wheel nut and the entire width (outter wheel to outter wheel) isn't over 12.5 inches you should be legal for 2.2 class. If it's bigger it would have to compete with the Supers. Or like ProBeater says you could always bash with us after."thumbsup"

well it's a 1/6th and the wheelbase is at 18in now. but i sticked it soo i can drill new holes and bring it down to like 11-12in. is that legal?

rims can not be larger then a 2.2 sized rim, tire can not be larger then 5.5 inches? or was it 6 inches? And the truck can be no wider then 12.5 inches at the widest most point.

Really I think you are better off just hanging out and bashing with it after the comp. We had a couple nylints at our first comp, and they had issues getting past the first gate.

ya i was out for a little while today first time out with the stick, and though there was improvment it's just not a hg rc

Just thought I'd post up a little hello to everybody in the MN area. I would love to make it up this weekend, but unfortunately I have to work. I don't have anything built yet anyway. I am in the process of machining a Scale style chassis. I will post back again at a later date when they are complete.

Also, what hobby shops do you guys usually go to in the cities area? I haven't been into a shop in 3 years as I'm just getting back into RC, and I am unsure if new stuff has opened up, or if there are better shops for crawler type stuff.

Good luck to everybody this weekend, hopefully I can make it up to a comp at least to check things out soon.

Later,
Matt

Welcome Maddog! You are welcome to any of our comps or get togethers.

I've got a K2-3L with a HPI Defender body on it sitting on 2.2's, and it looks pretty good. I think it partly depends on what body you have on it, cause some bodies look good with 1.9's on 'em too. Then again, it's mostly personal preferance. But yeah, either will work."thumbsup"

As far as hobby shops, I have no idea what's out by you... sorry. On the south side of the cities I would recommend Car Kings in Burnesville. On the north side I would recommend Jerry's R/C in Lino Lakes. Both are great shops with guys that know their stuff and are willing to help you out.

Welcome to our little thread Matt, always cool to see more new people check out the comps :)

For hobby shops I tend to hit up Hub hobby in little canada, and Jerrys RC up in Lino lakes the most. But every now and then I stop at hobby warehouse too... though they are changing over to just planes now? I still have yet to check out car kings.

Thats a nice looking rig :) Waiting for stuff to ship is always painful. But at least if it doesn't show up, we run again in 2 weeks :-P Hopefully it makes it here in time though.

I plan on being there, not 100% sure though. Plan on running nitro Saturday to get ready for a race the following weekend.

Thanks,
Casey
