any crawlers in MN?

Looks like to me all you would need is the TLT Drive shafy complete differential set # 9404445 Says its for 2 axles. And then some housings #0004219
Barings are optional, and unless you get sealed barings, bushings are probably better if your going through water.

wouldn't i also need steering knuckles (Part #50867)
and the necessary hardware to assemble them; like screws Part#9464050 and e-clips Part #50380? i will have to find these parts somewhere else because they are out of them at rcp crawlers.
 
Yup, I should have enough nuts and bolts for the axles for you. You will need some kingpin screws as well.

Tammies, technically, is a vender on RCC (i believe through RBGerrish).
And at that price it's gonna be real close to what it'd cost piecing it together on RCP. And this way you know it'd be complete (ie: didn't miss anythingdoing it piece by piece) with a manual and lots of extra nuts/bolts for whatever.
They've got 5 available... So I would wait too long.
Not to mention that RCP doesn't have everything you'd need in stock.
 
i will buy one as soon as i can. i only have $65 right now and i will need about $110. it may be 2-4 weeks before i can get all of the money together, and then it depends if my parents can afford to let me spend the money i've earned because my mom is hurt and can't work right now.
 
Yeah with the kit, you get axle link brackets that you would need if you got a bender sw2 later on. Also you can sell the stock shocks for $15 or so.
 
so i have a bit more saving to do until i can get myself a tlt kit. then i have to save more to get the tranny and wheels from Etype R and then i'll need driveshafts and a slower, high torque brushless motor or an integy lathe motor.

(MNRCRC) Minnesota Radio Controlled Rock Crawlers is looking for new members. MNRCRC is a group of RC crawling enthusiasts who formed in the Spring of 2006 from the forum here at RCC. We held our First series of competitions in the Summer of 2006, and are looking forward to another great season for 2007.

Rc rock crawling is not about speed, it is all about finesse.

The goal of a rc rock crawler is to traverse difficult rock formations and scale obstacles that most other rc vehicles could never consider trying.



Rc rock crawling is both a test of driver and machine.

The driver of a rc rock crawler needs to have a high level of concentration, driving ability and sheer will to get his or her rc crawler to the top of the hill.

The machine needs to be able to twist, turn and climb everything put in it's path.

Most times this is done with slow deliberate negotiation of the rocks and then at times just a sheer display of brute force.

We hold most of our competitions at Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls, Mn. You can see pictures from most of our First seasons events @ www.Turtlecrawler.com
MNRCRC is a member club of the (USRCCA) United States Radio Controlled Crawler Association. As such, we run our MN rules very close to the USRCCA rules. We are a fun, family friendly group. Our competitions our for fun With some small prizes donated from sponsers going to the class season champions.
There are no club dues/fees, or entry fees for any of our events, in this way, we keep the competition from getting to serious/cut throat, and the main goal stays fun for all involved.
We currently run 2 classes of trucks.
2.2 class
Super class
New this year, but not an official comp class is the Scalers, which many bring to run after the comp is over.

You don't need anything from the kit for the torsion chassis. It comes with bolts and spacers from EtypeR.
Also servo mount, and tranny plate. Just get a complete set of axles, and electronics, and you're good to go.

i currently have a JR Z590M servo that has 85oz/in of torque at 6 volts. will that be enough for use in the torsion chassis with the weighted moabs until i can get enough money to buy a better servo? will a 645 hitec servo be enough power for swinging around those weighted moabs?
 
85 oz/in isn't enough torque. The 645 has 133 oz/in; however, I'm not a big fan of the 645's. I've stripped out 3 on my Clod, but on a 2.2 it'll work fine for starting out. I currently have one on my 2.2, but I've noticed it's loosing it's strength. This being after a year of abuse.

a year of abuse and driving it off a 50 foot cliff. That might slow me down abit too
