any crawlers in MN?

Hey Joe, yeah that event was pretty good. Not sure if we are going to do that again this year or not though, Dan set it up and he stopped racing last summer. That rock pile they left for us was pretty fun though. Took a lot of work to level it out into something worth crawling over though.

So you give up on speed and went to the slowest form of rc out there? Maybe I'll see you at one of the comps. I am not sure if I will make it out to this first one or not. I need to start wrenching on the crawlers.

Freetime, did you get my PM?

Yeah I did, thanks for letting me know. Worked on the home course all day. Got alot done though. I have alot of wrenching to do myself, then some more wheel time to get in for practice once this course is done.

I went and picked up another load of rock this morning, I also came up with a new bridge design in my dream last night. Gotta give those clods a hard time.
I taked to Pro beater and he's going to bring another load of rocks by later today, and I'll be picking up a load myself at that time.
I'll be out back starting on the waterfalls, doing some flow testing and stuff.

I should quote so we're all on the same page.

You'll have to swing by and see for yourself, too hard to explain. It won't be easy, I think we can use it as a bonus gate for our comps.

it wasnt that bad in the weather , untill is started raining like a MAWFAGA then it cooled off a lil :flipoff:
if i get a chance i'll swing by today and snap some pics with my camera and mail'm to ya freetime

Thats even better. Where are we going to meet on the 3rd, I would like to meet somewhere we could crawl so I can test my new chassis, it will be done by then.

Freeride, you could always hold the meeting at the place in stillwater. Then more people could test it out as a place to hold a comp. They have a huge firepit down there as well. And up top there are picnic shelters.

Its north of stillwater, and highway 96 about 5 miles. Its a historical marker right off 95 on the river side. I can post a screenshot of its location via googlemaps if its needed.

And you can see a bunch of pictures of my Jugg crawling around that place on my site here http://www.rc-offroad.com/juggernaut/crawler/index.htm

The first 8 pictures are test shots at my house. The rest are all at stillwater.

I'm liking how those rocks look out there!:) It looks like a bunch of large natural rock rather than rock piles. I'd like to check it out.

p.s. It's Freetime not Freeride

A few pic's of the course progress. You can see the layout a little better now. Keep in mind it's not nearly finished yet. The falls tub will be changed and hidden, the white won't be visible, and they'll be lots more rocks and things.
It kinda looks like a hodge podge mess right now, it will look better when finished I assure you.

It was close.... damn heat! The ac in the back shop where I work is broken, might be working by the end of the week? I am sure it will cool off enough were we don't need ac once it is fixed

I think we're running out of time before this Saturday's meeting is here. And we don't have a time or place confirmed yet. I'd like to nominate checking out the spot in Stillwater that Etype R mentioned. That way we can do some crawling and see if it'd be a good spot for a comp. Would 2:00pm work for everyone? Etype, if you could post that map that'd be great! Please post if you read this, whether you can make it or not, and if you have a preference of a place/time or not.

I'll Second that nomination of the Stillwater local. 2:00pm works for me.

I like the looks of the Stillwater spot!!! Lets do that.
Speedsport, sounds like you're up for some running on the 3rd. So if you want to come up and park at my place, I can drive the rest of the way to the Stillwater Loc. Sound good? You still got the directions?
Etype R, If you got a screenshot of the loc that'd be nice... Maybe even some basic directions for those of us not too familiar with the stillwater area.

So 2:00pm Sat. June 3rd, Stillwater Loc... Sound good?

I can be there at any time. There are two parking lots, the first one is just a small loop. The second one is bigger, noticed it last time I drove by there. You will see a distance sign before you are there. It lists the historical marker at 5 miles or somthing, and a view point before that. The rocks are down along the river, you have to walk down a long flight of stairs to get there. But its worth it :-P
