I remember running the .049's in the control line planes you could get at the toy store. That and a quart of fuel and you'd be set for days, getting dizzy in the front yard.
I made a boo boo lol but lesson learned. Tomorrow I'll take it on apart again so I can throw up some broken part pics here and know exactly what I need to order.

It's a very good thing I took it back apart before ordering. The only thing that ended up happening was the bolt that holds the flywheel and clutchbell assembly onto the crank came loose. Enough it acted like the rod broke. Whew nice relief. Boy these engines are simple. Yet finnicky. This is the last start until my co-worker comes to get it tomorrow. He told me today he has not seen it run since he was 4. That's 30 years ago! No more leaning- that's up to him if he wants haha. These must of been the shit back in the 70's.
Hes bringing it tomorrow, said its the same one from 30 years ago. He showed me the sled when the tractor was brought to work the day I got it. It's pretty ancient but I bet I can find replacement string. I'll set up a better place than my back deck
Edit- looks like he can't make it today. I'll update when he does
