I bought a jk body at a comp a couple weeks ago for my scx10. I already stretched the wheel base out to 13'' but i have no idea how to mount the body. I do not want to put the body mounts threw the hood because i want to cut the hood out and make latches to open and close the hood and to put my winch controller and other electronics under the hood. So if any of you guys have a jk scx10 and you didn't put the body mounts threw the hood please tell me how you did it and if possible show me pictures.
Thanks

I have that body on my x-trail and I also long and hard on how to mount the body. I put a hinge in the rear which is bolted to the interior in the trunk and the front of the body is held on by an aluminum plate that is attached to the front mounts that are molded in to the body. The plate has some velcro and a body post that fits into the front brace on the chassis. The whole body flips up to change the battery. I can email pics if that would help.

I also bought a New Bright JK body, where did you get the links to stretch the wheelbase to 13"???

i went to my local hobby shop and bought threaded rod and aluminum piping and a tap. I cut the piping to the lingth i wanted and then tapped them. then i cut the threaded rod to use it to pull the links and rod ends together and thats what i did for the rear but in the front i just used regular ax10 links.
