Making progress....no worries on the chassis man. I'm fresh out of them servo mounts tho lol. Hit me up if you need anything else.

Hurry hurry....Sunday is looking to be a good day to scale !

Well, good to know I'm not the only one locked away building things lol. Oh and if anyone is trying to reach me I bricked my phone :lmao:

New guy here from the Springs, anyone doing any runs this weekend? I have a stock LNC that my daughter seems to have laid claim to today. I took her out to a big rockpile here on base today for her first try at learning a few lines and she's addicted

OK, I have a question for you guys. If I was to build a scale replica of MY own crazy K5 Blazer, how would that be treated, scale or as a comp rig? 76 K5, 4 link front and rear, rockwells, hydro steering, HMMWV wheels and 42" pitbull rockers? the body is cut up and seriously caged, tube doors, tube bumpers, and I have LOTS of travel, set up for 30% compression and 70% droop. I see setting a r/c up like that being a scaler, but how do you guys look at something equipped like that? I grew up wheeling the rocks in AZ, and we had quite a few K5s like mine in the club, and a handful that were alike other than being on Dana 60/14BFF instead of my Rockwells.

It can be both scale and comp able

That sounds good to me then, now I just need to either find Rockwells and how to replicate the hydro steer, or a little 14 bolt. I've seen D60s, but no 14 bolts yet. My wife may make me sell off guns to finance building this, especially since I'm in the process of building another K5 as a family wheeler , lol

OK, I may have to wait on Rockwells, so what if I used axles like on my kids' losi night crawler? They're about right size and look semi similar, are those axles allowed for scale?

Well it's come and gone....Rocky Mountain Scale Nationals was hands down the biggest and best event to ever happen in Colorado. A handful of us from 719SCALE attended the event in hopes to show the nation that we know how to play toy trucks. Mike J. , Aaron , Clayton and myself took on Class 1 ,2 and rally. The first day of competition was U4 and Rally with me breaking my rally car in the 4th race in the first round of rally.. oh well it was fun... U4 was a blast especially the 1.9 solid axle class.

Second day was class 1 and class 3 comps...the weather was awesome and courses were even better with tons of grip and difficult/fun gates. We gave it out best Aaron, Clayton and myself...with the caliber of trucks and drivers attending I was glad just to finish all the courses. Clayton and Aaron ran their super scale trucks and this kinda hindered their performance ...but dang they sure looked cool out there. All in all we had a blast and made a great showing for Southern Colorado. I think I ended up 20th out of 40ish...not bad considering I was driving a leaf sprung rig lol. "thumbsup"

Third Day..... :twisted: this was the serious day for Mike and I. We built our rigs specifcally for that day. we woke up to rain...:flipoff:..so that was going to be a factor...oh well. The rain never stopped and got pretty hard a few times. I was glad we brought the event canopy to keep some what dry. Mike gave it the beans with his CSC caged yota truggy , his winch went bad in the middle of his second to last course so you could saty he had hiis work cut out for him...Mike ended up a respectable 22nd out of 54 drivers in that class. Well done Mike great showing! I myself was a little discouraged going into the event..thus not having much wheel time on super saturated rock...hell there was scale rivers coming down some courses. The truck did really good and surprised me a few times. I probably shoud of winched sooner in some spots but hey I learned. After a cold , wet , hard battle I ended up 8th out of 54 drivers. I did have the highest score on course 5 with -39..not bad but still couldn't hit the podium. I'm very satisfied with my results and know what needs to be done for the next big event.

The people and rigs.....holy sweet jeeebus folks ! Over the weekend I met/ hung out with some of the coolest people in the hobby. Mr DMG is one of the nicest/coolest guys you'll ever meet. MG200, ToyZuki, Hotwheels, Warpig, Harley, The Locked-UP rc guys, just to name a few. Got a lot of compliments on my truck/work and learned some new tricks from the masters. Win win win....

The raffle was pretty darn sweet aswell...I took home a sweet ToyZuki Aluminum chassis and a forward motor mount, crawler innovations foams, rc4wd shock caps and lanyard, Team KNK t shirt, and Krawler Konceptz license plates .

Thanks to the sponsors for the event you made it even that much sweeter!"thumbsup"

Super huge shout out to The Crawl Space and Ty for organizing Colorado's biggest scale truck event in history. You guys are amazing!

The next one will be in Prescott, AZ next year....plan on it!

Papa Griz's Guido....Amazing rig in person!

U4 action...

Devlin's bad little bug...

The concourse...I was so blown away by all the awesomeness there I only had enough brain power to take one pic...:x But it was a truck I was excited to see in person. Geoff D. and his dripping scale Chevy Silverado

This truck won best of show....he deserved it!

Drivers meeting on Saturday....no rain!

Ben B. living it up !

Awesome work Jerry! These things are nasty!

DMG C1 Gremlin doing work.

I didn't get any pics of Sunday/C2 cause it was super wet and crazy busy!
I did get some video but I have to go through it cause in some shots there is water on the lense.

Raffle winnings!

If you couldn't attend this event I highly reccomend going to the next one if you can... bet your bean bag I'll be there."thumbsup"

Since it's getting all pretty and stuff outside...time to get on the ball and get out on the trails. I need some insight on days/times that work for most.

Great write up and awesome pics David"thumbsup" Glad you guys got to come out, wish I had more time to hang with everyone but someone has to conduct the chaos

Definitely planning on attending next year
