I have been watching this thread from the beginning and felt I did not need to post but now it is time...
I cannot believe that you would say something like that. What would you do if someone said that to you either on the internet or in person? That is just a rotten thing to say to someone you have NEVER met and know absolutely nothing about. It is mean and down right disrespectful. The bottom line is though, YOU WERE NOT THERE.
For ALL of you that have posted up an opinion and you WERE NOT there, maybe possibly re-read BD's posts. You are right BD, both sides can be seen from our point of view. WC tried to explain that earlier in the thread but people see that WC is posting and all goes to hell.
As for the "red as an apple" comment, you are in the middle of the desert... How many grown adults were just as red if not more so than my son? He had sunblock and plenty of water. He had more water than Mom did during the day. Once again, if you don't know than you should keep you mouth shut.
I guess the part that bothers me the most about this entire thread that, minus the Hot tub, no one came up to either one of us and said anything along the lines of concern for our son. If everyone was so concerned with his safety, why not say something to the parents at the time of concern?
I really appreciate the fact that people are concerned with someone or something other than themselves they just need to mind there own business. Those of you who know us, know that we take good care of the little guy and would not let anything happen to him.
It does not matter what WC or I say. We have learned from this little experience. There were mistakes made, they were realized and understood but... I still don't understand why WC received the DumbAss award.

Did you not read 'D's post?? She refused the sunblock because he was already wearing SPF 50 for kids even. He had it put on a few times each day even.

The concern was not given in a kind manner, what would you do if someone was screaming at you? You guys were A-holes the whole time we were there! Would you have even acknowledged me if the tables were turned and I was an ass to you the whole weekend and Screamed at you to do something?

You need to go back and read.
I did admit that if he was in the truck on PS that was wrong, I even explained why it happened. but no one cares to read what I say, they just pick and choose what they want to hear or what they can get things stirred back up again with.
I got the award because people do not all have the same take on reality.
These days perception equals reality.
Facts mean nothing. Its all in how people see things.
Everyone has a different perception on things, thats life, but when you start forcing your perception on someone else, thats when you deserve no credit.

Will you agree with me that having your child in the seat while attempting any of those obstacles is a bad idea? Whether your intention was to complete the obstacle or not does not matter. I was there, I witnessed it, my heart skipped a beat more than once for the concern of that boy.
If I would have walked up to you and asked nicley to take him out of the truck would you have done so? I think your reaction would have been the same either way. So the guys yelling from above should have had the same effect "thumbsup"
