Got this in my e-mail and it reminded me of some of the people here...

My apologies if your personal story has been mentioned.

Here are the glorious winners for 2008:

1. When his 38-caliber revolver failed to fire at his intended
victim during a hold-up in Long Beach , California , would-be robber
James Elliot did something that can only inspire wonder. He peered down
the barrel and tried the trigger again. This time it worked.....

And now, the honorable mentions:

2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a
meat-cutting machine and, after a little shopping around, submitted a
claim to his insurance company. The company expecting negligence sent
out one of its men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and
he also lost a finger. The chef's claim was approved.

3. A man who shoveled snow for an hour to clear a space for his
car during a blizzard in Chicago returned with his vehicle to find a
woman had taken the space. Understandably, he shot her.

4. After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus
driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be
transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit
his incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered
everyone waiting there a free ride. He then delivered the passengers to
the mental hospital, telling the staff that the patients were very
excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies. The deception wasn't
discovered for 3 days.

5. An American teenager was in the hospital recovering from
serious head wounds received from an oncoming train. When asked how he
received the injuries, the lad told police that he was simply trying to
see how close he could get his head to a moving train before he was hit.

6. A man walked into a Louisiana Circle-K, put a $20 bill on the
counter, and asked for change. When the clerk opened the cash drawer,
the man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which
the clerk promptly provided. The man took the cash from the clerk and
fled, leaving the $20 bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he
got from the drawer...$15. (If someone points a gun at you and gives you
money, is a crime committed?)

7. Seems an Arkansas guy wanted some beer pretty badly. He decided
that he'd just throw a cinder-block through a liquor store window, grab
some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder-block and heaved it over
his head at the window. The cinder-block bounced back and hit the
would-be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. The liquor store
window was made of Plexiglas. The whole event was caught on videotape.

8. As a female shopper exited a New York convenience store, a man
grabbed her purse and ran. The clerk called '911' immediately, and the
woman was able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher.
Within minutes, the police apprehended the snatcher. They put him in the
car and drove back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car
and told to stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied, 'Yes,
officer, that's her. That's the lady I stole the purse from.'

(And they wonder why tigers eat their young!)

9. The Ann Arbor News crime column reported that a man walked into
a Burger King in Ypsilanti , Michigan , at 5 A.M., flashed a gun, and
demanded cash. The clerk turned him down because he said he couldn't
open the cash register without a food order. When the man ordered onion
rings, the clerk said they weren't available for breakfast. The man,
frustrated, walked away.

***A 5-STAR STUPIDITY AWARD WINNER***

10. When a man attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home
parked on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for.
Police arrived at the scene to find a very sick man curled up next to a
motor home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man
admitted to trying to steal gasoline and plugged his siphon hose into
the motor home's sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle
declined to press charges, saying that it was the best laugh he'd ever
had.

In the interest of bettering human kind please share these with
your friends and family ... Unless of course one of these individuals by
chance is a distant relative or long lost friend. In that case be glad
they are distant and hope they remain lost.

Coming from you this has to be some of the dumbest shit I'll ever read.

HAHA! I think the same thing every time I read a WheelChair post!

Badger, I don't know what your problem is, but I think you are one of the nicest people I have ever met! "thumbsup"

Personally, I had good laugh when I first seen you.

I don't have a problem. I do however call it like I see it, and after last years Nats, you take the cake for stupidity.

What was so stupid about the nats?

Not that I care about your opinion, but with putting that under my name, obviously you have some kind of problem with something.

I think its hilarious.

Some people think driving around on rocks in the desert is the stupidest thing they have ever seen.

Some people like fords and think anyone who owns a chevy is stupid.

Some people are comfortable wheeling a rig they know, yet others are comfort driving on the street not knowing the limitations of their vehicle. Each, calling the other stupid.

My point is, calling someone stupid is a matter of opinion.

You can have your opinion, thats fine, but I had a great time in Moab.

We had a hard time with the bank, but otherwise it was a good time.
I know thousands of others were sitting at home, wanting to be there but could not. Well I made it out there damnit, and if you think I was stupid for anything I did while I was there then that just shows what different planets we are from. "thumbsup"

But for the funniest thing I saw in Moab was you at the laundry mat. Talk about an oxymoron!

The yard sale? whats wrong with that? That was awesome!! "thumbsup"
How was I supposed to know the bolt was about to come out of my tailgate...

That rocked! Just shows how bad BFG's are compared to the Swampers I ran there the year before. I walked it and thought the same would go for the All T's ad I have seen them perform quite well in Moab. Just not on my rig. BFG's had trouble on potato salad as well, Swampers had no trouble there either.

As for the laundry mat, We were not washing clothes so I have no idea what your talking about. More proof that your opinion is only one view at what was going on in reality.

Oh because I wasn't wearing nice clothes eh? hahaha you shallow bastage.

Lets see here, since you feel the need to play with me....

Did I look a little rough in Moab? Dirty clothes, didn't look like I showered in days?

Between the US post office delaying my shipments and a bunch of other uncontrollable BS, just getting to Moab was a miracle itself.

Not to mention, at 2:30 AM the day of the nationals, I was just getting finished with my 2.2 build, STILL 500 miles from Moab in Colorado at home.

My girlfriend had to put the new diff in the Toyota and change the oil while I worked on my 2.2. She got the diff in around midnight.

Thats how close it was.

So then, I been up for two solid days, its 2:30 AM, day of the nats, and we have 5 hours to get there.

Not exactly enough time for me to shower up for my date with you badger.;-)

So if I looked a little run down, and dirty, EXCUSE the hell out of me man.

We drove Just that Toyota out there because I knew it would make it there and back, I even brought a spare diff and I think birfields.

Yeah, sounds like some stupid moron could have pulled all that off don't it?

Again, you look at the yard sale as stupid, I look at it as, that is something that is going to happen when you have to have all your stuff in the back of the truck for a trail ride.

Also, the welder I brought along and ran over twice in the yard sale, still is burning beads to this day.

I don't see anything stupid with that trip other then spacing off that there is no US Bank in Moab.

See ya next Nats!

My family and our son is absolutely non of your or anyone else's business.

WOW! What made you bring up your son? I don't remember seeing a post about him in this thread.

I am hoping that what happened during the trail ride at Nats was an isolated incident and that hopefully somebody thought things through and learned from a very bad decision.

I am not talking about the tailgate and anybody who was there knows what I am talking about.

I'll reserve my comment on it being nobody else's buisness since I am in Law Enforcement.

See, now where your going with this there is some kind of confusion going on here...

Apparently you feel how we are raising our little boy is wrong?

I still can not see how it is of any concern to you or anyone else.

I understand people care and worry about little children. I'm thankful they just care about SOMETHING other then themselves.

There is a point to where you got to take a step back and say hey, these are not my kids.

I did nothing wrong, and if you guys think I took him out of the truck because of everyone asking me to you are wrong.

My intention from the start was to pull up on it to show him the angle then back down and let him out. His face just lights up when we are on a hill like that.

He had never been to Moab before, he was too young, and certainly not on anything as steep.
He has been four wheeling with us almost his entire life. He loves it.

I have wheeled my Toyota all over the US and I know my truck.
There was NEVER any danger to him, PERIOD. 8)
