~2019 c7 zr1

I could have called that one without even watching. I admire what Chevy is trying to do, but I'd take the GT3 hands down.

As a Chevy guy and Porsche admirer I'd have to agree. I think it's because Corvettes are way more common here. I wonder how the people in Europe feel. Either way, I don't think the Corvette ever gets the respect it deserves. And as it edges ever closer to other super cars and hyper cars I still think that is true.

For me it's not about being common. In bigger more affluent areas, Porsches are all over the place. For me, having owned GM products, it's about overall build quality at the end of the day. And the fact that the GT series has been heralded for years as a pure drivers car, and Pobst made some mention of it in that vid as well. I am glad they finally got one into his hands, I was wondering when that would happen.

I still dig the Vette, and I still think it's awesome what they're doing, and trying to do with the new mid engine car that's coming out. But there's just no way in hell I'd pay anywhere near that kind of money for any GM product. If I were buying a GM, it'd be an older CTS V most likely.

Other than a handfull of diehard fans nobody cares.

Just a few miles down the road from where I live:

The biggest Corvette collection in Europe.

never heard of that. there are thousands of people tracking on stock cast wheels without issue. hell my first two sets of track wheels were chinease repros.

From what I can see in that article, it's likely not so much the quality of the rims as it is the Michigan Legislature's near absolute refusal to maintain their roads. I have a friend that lives in the state and is constantly complaining about the roads in Michigan compared to what we have here in Northern Illinois (I know, I know) and especially Iowa (now that, I can believe!) when he's driven though them.

That's what I figured. It seems like a magazine hell bent on not liking the Corvette more than anything.

That's what I was thinking too, but they never made it clear what caused the wheel issues.

Fun facts:

Brand spanking new Stingray from 162.555, Grand sport from 172.820 and the Z06 from 218.885. ZR1, unobtainable.

And yes, that's in Euros.

Traxxas is giving us a Z06 body!

and its a 4x4(height) just like the real one!
i do like how they accurately modeled the wicker bill spoiler in ABS.

they also just released a ATS-V body too

When you push a ZR1 so hard you scare it into calling OnStar 3 times! :lmao:

Seems like they need to recalibrate what sets it off, seen that happen on lesser vehicles too. IIRC, Car and Driver TV has a Malibu with the early version of OnStar call them while running a test car through the cones, and that had to be 15+ years ago! Kinda happy my 200 doesn't have it.........

thats funnier than i thought it would be :D

and F uck that car is fast. i know how much slower a GoPro makes it look like your going, and damn that thing is flying! and stick shift version too.
