I wonder if some of it (the cage, wing, etc) is just part of the disguise to throw people off.

When you can have an old pushrod mill making 750hp with a full factory warranty and proven reliability, who wants anything else? Not to mention push rod engines keep the CG slightly lower, for better handling. Something that's often overlooked by the people snubbing their noses at the old tech.

Yep, forgot about lighter too. I've learned from my day job that sometimes people over complicate shit just for the sake of over-complicating it. In my industry, it's usually pseudo job security.

lap record.
i gotta admit Randys exit onto the back stretch was less than ideal. got on power too soon, had to lift and then wait VERY late to be able to get back on power.
that multiplys to several MPH by the end of the straight.

Wait? What! The same time? Both were cooking but that Vette sure picks up some speed in a hurry.

Very cool vid

How about a 1,000 horsepower Yenko Corvette?

$68,995 on top of the price of a Grand Sport and only 25 are being made so ya better hurry if you want one.

I don't remember where we're putting the 'Ring videos, but Lamborhini claimed the crown with the sexy Aventador.

^^This was discussed last time they posted up a new record. Not in the same league as the Vette, and more along the lines of the Subi WRX STI Type RA car. Full cage, etc. Basically a purpose built race car vs a full on street car.

damn fast time, but the car had more in it, driver was painful to watch. getting back on the gas 1-2 car lengths after the apex, and his on/off light switch use of the gas pedal in the last bit/second half was not smooth at all.

I could have called that one without even watching. I admire what Chevy is trying to do, but I'd take the GT3 hands down.
