Truth!
that affects C6 Z06s only. any other model or generation is not affected by it.
yes the valve guides were machined non concentric by the canadian supplier on the LS7 heads.

f uck. the speed at which it can climb to 190/195 is f ucking staggering:shock:

You guys can put any wheels you want on my ZR1 if you give me the ZR1. :ror:

It's crazy how fast it accelerates right up to, and a little past, 200 MPH! I still don't love the look, but I love the performance.

It's damn fast for sure. But I still have pangs that we live in an age where you can get that car with an automatic. I die inside a little bit every time I a bad ass sports car then find out it's an automatic. You've effectively removed half of the visceral experience of mechanical interaction with the car, which is a big part of why we own sports cars to begin with. Just buy a damned mini van if you want that. :flipoff:

You can still get the ZR1 in a gear banger.

I think we'll see a dual clutch in the mid engine model tho.

It depends on what you want. Computers, in a lot of ways, are better shifters than humans. If you want the experience and the feeling you can get manual where it's still offered. If you want performance the future is automatics and semi-automatic transmissions. I hope they don't try to ban those semi-autos. :P In my opinion that's why you see exotic cars and F1 cars getting rid of manual transmissions. I don't want completely automatic transmissions, but I'm fine with semi-autos.

im old school like you Randy, but i also see that times are changing.
Autos are faster. even on road courses now.
in an imaginary world where i was ordering a Zr1, i would probly order a automatic for what i do. that hurts me to say. but lap times are lap times.

I'm well aware you can still order a manual trans with a third pedal. I'm also aware that modern autos are a tiny bit faster, but it's not by much. In a CTS V, I'll take flappy paddles because it's not a true sports car. In a Vette, no farking way in hell I'd have it. But to each their own I guess. It's just the dumbing down of everything these days, and making everything accessible to everybody to cater to the instant gratification crowd, or the 70yo crowd that still wants something bad ass to park at Starbucks. If I had the means, I'd love to have an old Porsche 911. Yes, the widowmaker series. No electronics, no automatics, and a reputation for biting you. You actually had to put in some time and effort and learn to drive the car. I'm just one of those luddites that get more satisfaction from learning a skill and working at it than someone handing me the magic easy button. I feel the same way about the SXS ruining all the moto trails locally. I guess I'm just getting to that age where I start telling you kids to get off my damned lawn. :flipoff:

I see the pros and cons to both sides. Some technology pains me, but others do not. I'm a complex character like that. :lmao:

SXS suck. They are extremely overpriced golf carts gone wrong. I seriously can't wait until that market is dead.

stock Zr1 on drag radials beats Demon on drag radials

That track had to be prepped nicely to only lose .15sec going back to stock tires. Didn't hear much squealing.

But damn, she's flying. Better question is the Demon in 11s?

gotta watch out for that torque at idle, it'll get ya!:lmao:

^^What a dumbass! That broom has a nice long handle for a reason. Luckily he'll have some hardware to remind him not to do that again. Reminds of the guys that lose digits using a rag around moving fan belts and pulleys.

The more I see these in person the more I like them. I hated them at first. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong because I can't afford one. :lmao:

odd that it doesnt at least have the stage 3 Z06 front aero package to balance out the rear wing.
