2014 RC4WD East Coast Scale Challenge (August 22-24)

I will make the drive again too, and there will be more than one pig roasting at this event...lmao. Since he's wuss ing out on the April looks like I gotta wait till august........I'm sure cd and Ricky along with James it's gonna be a good time.

It is with great excitement and honor to announce that John "Jester" and Bob "Garagedoorbob or GDB" (Founding Members of Tri-State Scale Outlaws) will be assuming responsibility for both the Course and Judging side of the Event. I have full confidence in their ability to offer all the drivers top notch, national level courses for the 2014 East Coast Scale Challenge. They will be working side by side with me on all aspects of the event so we can ensure an even better experience in August.

Bringing these guys on board is going to not only help on the course and judging side, but also frees me up to make sure that the other aspects of the event go smooth. This year we will be bumping up the registrations for each class and also streamline some of the processes. With John and Bob at the helm on their side, I can collaborate with the sponsors and work on other logistics to make sure the whole event is flawless.

I want to take a moment and thank both of them for stepping up in this important role that is vital to the success of ECSC14.

John

Great!
Jester, make sure to adjust for Class 3... I heard people thought it was too easy last year!

Huh? I'm going to be helping the Utah guys run the event in April, I'll definitely be there....and if you show up you will get an ass whooping again. There's about a 25% chance that I'll be able to make it to Pennsylvania this year. That being said, I'm really excited to hear this is happening again! You east coast guys deserve a quality event and will have fun whether I'm there or not.

''You east coast guys deserve a quality event and will have fun whether I'm there or not.'' And you are who? :lmao: Just bustin your stone Tim.

I'm nobody. I still chuckle when I think about that PM you sent me after the event. We sat and talked for a half hour about life and you just knew me as "Tim". You had no idea that you were talking to the world famous "War Pig":lmao:

Oh it'll be a blast. I can't wait!!! This time I'll be sure to get all of my stuff out of your Tahoe, lol. For those of you who don't know it costs $35 to ship a suitcase from Ark to Ind .

Better not wait to long, tickets sold out pretty quickly last time.
Hell no, they sold fairly quick. I've been checking my emails every hour since ecsc'14 was announced. It was a blast last year and this year will definately be better, can't wait to hit the trails with you again brother "thumbsup".

Your wife told you that these Arkies and Okies were going to steal your stuff...

Good to know on the shipping...may be shipping my stuff to Utah instead of trying to carry them on with my back conditions...

Don't worry...there will be a notice in the thread on when registration will open...just can't tell now with a bunch of logistics that I need to finalize.

Hope to have the sponsor packages together this weekend. Pray that the weather is bad...so I don't choose to go outside and play with my new addiction:

Bring them with you...Rose Point Park is a family campground with lots to do in and around the area... "thumbsup"

are there any other campgrounds/hotels in the immediate area?

no cabin will be a deal breaker. and knowing how things go i'll be too damn busy to register before all the rose point places get gobbled up.

Yes there are...

There is another campground down the street. Will see if they have cabins.

Hotels are listed on the second post. Trying to work out a deal with one of them...

I stayed at the holiday in at Beaver Falls last time (because I thought the pictures looked nice online)...and really it was too far away and not very nice at all. It was a 30 minute drive each way. I would not recommend it.

Look at the one's I have listed....I am trying to get a discount at the Comfort Inn. Gonna stop on Friday to check it out.

I'd suggest this hotel probably being the closest. Its newly built within the last year, I think its the closest of any.

Hampton Inn & Suites New Castle
2608 W State St
New Castle, PA 16101

ETA Comfort is closer, but Hampton is new.
