2013 Mini Clod "Crawler Innovations" Shelf Rig

man i remember trying SO hard to get my hands on one of those kits.
its crazy that i remember that C-10 topper too.

LOVE this rig.
needs some runnin2jeep parts on it to add to the nostalgia.
remember the C-cell nicad knuckles?

CF arrow links?

The proper term was CARBOMS, brah  :ror:

Fun! :)

I have 2 sets of the Mini Clod setups. Gives me some idea's!

"thumbsup""thumbsup"

Thanks guys.

I am pretty much done with it. Just waiting on Eddie to send me another box full of parts to see what will go on it. Which should be tomorrowish.

It's fun reading all the different comments. I'm glad it's inspiring interest in classic parts.

I mailed Shane some parts for Nats along with some parts for this build. After reading through my clod build "The Grunt", I decided to mail Holmes Hobbies OG Crawlmaster Outrunner motors for this build with 6 tooth pinions front and rear. Although the Ti links I sent for it aren't period correct, they will look nice compared to all thread and brake tubing. Making this rig run is a possibility, but with so many projects in the queue already, it's going to be hard to choose which ones receive what.

damn I missed out, this setup was both after and before my time......... makes me feel left out of a whole era! Nice looking rig!

That looks great Shane. Thank you for building it. I'm excited to pick it up from you at Crawlapalooza. I'm thinking about adding dual mamba micro pros and a 4PK RX to get it running. I'm curious to know what it's capable of.

It's ready for the rocks. "thumbsup"

Thanks. I just pieced it all back together for Eddie at Crawler Innovations. I gave it back to him last month at Crawlapalooza. "thumbsup"

It takes skill to create a custom crawler from multiple vendors and parts platforms and Shane has them"thumbsup". I picked up the mini clod from him at Crawlapalooza only to drop it off with my scale adviser:mrgreen:. The rig is getting a new a detailed driver. Pics to come once it returns to the CI shop.

Pics of the new driver, although I don't think he's going to stay. He's to big for the cab area. I think an HPI interior will fit so I am going to try that instead.
