1/6th Chevy Monster Truck

I'm building a similar beast with widened kyosho mad force axles. What's the weight of yours? I was planning on using HPI baja shocks with internal springs. I'm having trouble finding a good shock spring setup. By the way I used your wheel mod except for I'm using foams no air. Your build is what started mine.

You should make a build thread if you havent already.

this is badass.i saved it and have been tryng to build my own for a bit now.anyone build anything new in 1/6 scale?im working of the new bright raptor body for a pure all out mud truck.

Hey bud, like most everyone else, I love ya truck! One thing I've been wanting to try that I think you would like is on the front and rear rockwell axles, where most people put a fake brake rotor on the center. You could put on a propeller off a boat so when you are floating you could really tread some water. Sounds cool huh! Let me know what you think!

That would definitely help move it along!

Been a while since I've really thought about trying to get this thing running. It's been sitting on a shelf with the electronics stripped from it and missing a transmission. I may have to look into getting some axles under this thing so I can get it back out on the trails.

Thats awesome Nick! I didnt realise this rig was still in existance?! Id love to see what the next level with this build would be!

I've always had big hopes and dreams for it. Heck I'd love to just be able to bash it without destroying axles! I had some 1/6th Rockwells I designed in CAD but I never REALLY pushed to get them made. I'm thinking it may be time to look into getting them made a little more seriously.

Twin force axles with two long sides isnt wide enough?

Never really looked into that?

Been a while since I've done some brazing....... I think it turned out decent. I definitely want to make the rounded cover shorter in height if I can get a small enough internal gear. This one is just a test housing to see what it could even look like. I'll probably clean it up and get it under the truck with some link mounts on it to see if it looks right.

You can see here that I can shave quite a bit off this..... would look a lot nicer and give it more clearance too.

Chopped the bottom cover off and shaved it down.

Pulled the center diff out of my 8ight with a 48t spur to see how it would work out. Outputs are a little wide but the gear clears no problem. Might have to get a little creative with the top flange on the axle housing.

You ever get those axles finished? Your build inspired me to build my own. I also copied your wheel idea minus the valve stem.
