1/6 Scale Nylint Crawler

The tires work very well, and both Sparky and I are trying to figure out how to get Bender to make us some adapters so we can run them on our clods ;-)

Good luck getting that rat bastard to do anything!! :flipoff:

We'll have to hook-up and see what we can do, those would be cool on a Clod or TXT.

So what will these Nylint/Funrise crawlers do to our small world of diehards?

Now there almost NEEDS to be a true spec class of crawlers, 1/6 Nylint(stock) and 1/18 Nylint(stock). No mods can be done to them. I'm down with it as it's my cheapest cralwer to date

I have to say that I was very impressed in how this rig performed right out the box with no mods. The selectible gearing is quite genious and the tires are sweet and grab really awsome on the rocks. The axles, however are huge and quite obstrucive.( I dont now if thats even a word  ) Overall run times are still being detemined since we could not beat it down in the 2-2.5 hours we were there. High gear is a little weak on climbs but you slap it in low and there is no stopping it. Replacment parts would be my only concern. However for what you get this rig is worth the money, and yes I would put it up against any stock clod or txt right out of the box. Oh wait you'd still need elecs to compete!!!

I'm rather impressed with the 1/18 version also, I think it'd give any Tamiya Hummer/Pajero a run for it's money....even with it's on/off type operation.

Again with my 1/18 version... the tires are getting better and better. At first they were kinda stiff but after about 6-7 packs ran through it they seem to be softer.

Ditto.

Scorpion and Jeep 1/6 and 1/18 Crawlers

[Vendor note from ScorpionCars.com]

We are considering Rear Steer for the 1/6 only, the 1/18 really does not have the room.

Our goal is to have replacement parts available and I will have an update on that soon. We have done all WE could to break them, now it is YOUR tuen. And plesae, if something does break, post it so we can work on the engineering. Nylint (Funrise.com) has done a fantastic job and is even applying for a Patent on the driveline, it is so sophisticated.

If your Wal-Mart is out of Scorpions, tell the manager! They have access to them and will respond to the demand! Also, the Scorpion is a really cool yellow color...

We are thrilled with the positive reaction. Please keep the comments coming, we are listening.

Motor Sizes

We do not have a parts manifest for them at this time... Whatever we get in the way of those details, we will post here first!

I've been modding mine.

I raised the upper shock mounts to lower the center of gravity and allow more droop and stuff.

This is my second one. I blew up a driver side outer shaft yesterday.
I do hope spares are available soon.
I was tinkering with the idea of putting my spare frone axle in the rear.

Yes I would put it against a clod or txt even if you locked the diffs on those. 1. This has a much better wheelbase. 2. It has a lot lower gearing.

The only bad thing I can find about this so far is the clearance under the diffs isn't that great. To offer the selectable gearing in these they had to make the diffs pretty big.

As far as durability goes, so far so good. It seems to be holding up well, I did manage to rip the skid plate off of the front diff, but that needed to come off anyways

I busted an axle and a knuckle on my rock pile yesterday.
It was my own drunken fault though. :D

the upper shock mounts can be unscrewed and placed on top of the chassis.
I only have one screw in each mount at the moment.

I had to cut part of the tub for clearance ofthe rear shocks. Plastic had to be shaved off of the old shock mounts.

Heres some pics from Saturday.
I had a BBq and we did a scaled down version of what we call battle bots. we usually use our full scale riigs to drive on each other :D
