Now there almost NEEDS to be a true spec class of crawlers, 1/6 Nylint(stock) and 1/18 Nylint(stock). No mods can be done to them. I'm down with it as it's my cheapest cralwer to date
slashsplat said:We believe that ALL Wal-Marts got a small shipment of them at about the same time. We have NO IDEA when they actually stock the shelves, but the large shipment arrived at the main Wal-Mart warehouse with all of that first shipment. Given the large number of stores, we think there may just be a dozen or so per store in this first shipment.
IF your W-M does not have them out, ASK the MANAGER, not the Clerk! The ONLY way these will be successful is for people to ASK for them. That is the only way the MANAGERS will request more!
We suggest you ask for the *SCORPION*, as they can clearly pass that request up the chain, since they already carry several different Jeeps. Every order has a mix of Scorpions and Jeeps, but the Scorpion request will make a bigger impact.
[And, yes, we did license them the Scorpion name and design, and directed the development of the amazing suspension to do justice to the FULL SIZE Scorpion.]

Y'all be aware that the Scorpion version of the crawler is available! The model's suspension was designed by Mike Seay, Scorpion Daddy, in coop with Nylint/Funrise. They then got Jeep to also license their body and name, to add to the appeal.
We will have accessories/mods for the crawlers on the ScorpionCars site in a month or two, as they become available. Be aware, it takes a special prep and paint to adhere to that special impact-resistant body plastic, and we will have a full re-paint kit. You should find the things REALLY rugged. I saw you noticed the heft of the axles! We wanted to make sure that was not a weak point.
Notice that the drivetrain carries a US Patent Pending notice! Nylint did some amazing engineering on this to bring them to market at these prices.
The battery lasts about forever. Didn't see it mentioned that it has a two speed gears, one for crawling and one for hauling, switchable on the RC handset. The 1/6 will walk straight up the side of my desk in low.
The tires are a bit slick out of the box, but REALLY stick once they get used a bit. They are basically deflated as shipped to conform. The channel selection allows for FOUR different channels, just perfect for competitiion.
Would there be any interest in a REAR-STEER kit??
