1/6 Scale Nylint Crawler

resizeofimgp02581zm.jpg
a quick pic of mine

Dammit!!! I picked up a 1:18 Scorpion last week and have been trying really hard not to go grab the 1:6 Jeep...but these pics are just making me want to leave work and go grab one and charge it up.

Jeez...2 weeks ago I had no RC anything and now I have like 3, thinking No. 4 is about to be picked up on the way home...

I live in the center of a Wal-Mart Mecca...I am surrounded by 4 of them within a 10 minute drive from my house and as of yesterday they all had several 1:6 Jeeps...no 1:18 anything...I grabbed the last Scoprion last week.

And I actually need to hit Wally World on my way home...

I just glanced through the 3 pages and did not notice the info I wanted, so what is the dia. of the rollcage?

Moving to the front axle, very suprisingly, it rides on bearings.

Also very cool in the second picture here you can see the front axle shaft. Before it tapers down it is at least 2X as big as a stock clod shaft!
be carful those steering nuckles break really easy i'd know

Nylint Rock Crawlers and Scorpion!

Hello from http://ScorpionCars.com .

Y'all be aware that the Scorpion version of the crawler is available! The model's suspension was designed by Mike Seay, Scorpion Daddy, in coop with Nylint/Funrise. They then got Jeep to also license their body and name, to add to the appeal.

We will have accessories/mods for the crawlers on the ScorpionCars site in a month or two, as they become available. Be aware, it takes a special prep and paint to adhere to that special impact-resistant body plastic, and we will have a full re-paint kit. You should find the things REALLY rugged. I saw you noticed the heft of the axles! We wanted to make sure that was not a weak point.

Notice that the drivetrain carries a US Patent Pending notice! Nylint did some amazing engineering on this to bring them to market at these prices.

The battery lasts about forever. Didn't see it mentioned that it has a two speed gears, one for crawling and one for hauling, switchable on the RC handset. The 1/6 will walk straight up the side of my desk in low.

The tires are a bit slick out of the box, but REALLY stick once they get used a bit. They are basically deflated as shipped to conform. The channel selection allows for FOUR different channels, just perfect for competitiion.

Would there be any interest in a REAR-STEER kit??

Welcome to the site. Glad to see you found your way here.

Yes rear steer would be nice to have on this.

I did mention this has 2 speeds, the low range is super low, I have tried and it is almost impossible to stall the motors when in low range.

First off welcome!

You guys have done very well with these crawlers, I love my 1/18th scale version of the scorpion!

I don't think the rear steer kit is necessary on the 1/18th version but would be a very nice addition to the 1/6th scale version.

I've bought 4 of the 1/18th scale for back to school presents for my little girl and nephews. My 63 old father bought the last two from Wal-mart and is picking up rocks today for a small coarse. Ages range from 4 to 63 and we all have fun. Great way to get the family involved in the sport. The frequeny selector is great too. Great product and welcome aboard!
