09.15.13 The Crawl Space TTC @ Chicago Forks.

We all live in a red submarine, a red submarine, a red submarine......
I'm hoping for full submarine action myself. :ror:

Lets hope for submarine action! There is nothing more amazing then watching a completely submerged rig surface like it was on a deep sea mission.

Its also funny when they don't come up at all. :ror:

Now don't be scaring the new guys too much, there will be plenty of water for everyone to play in at their own "pace" "thumbsup"

I sure do

Outstanding, be sure to check all the rules and specs at the top of the thread and we will hopefully see you there "thumbsup"

All this submarine talks makes me have flash backs to the first crawlspace TTC when my MRC Suby took a trip over a water fall. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

I'm definitely bringing extra motors and ESC's to this. For some reason the brat likes to eat motors and speed controls.

Yea, just funning here, even if there is no submarine action I'm sure it will be a blast. Prolly best if there isn't, that's sure hard on equipment. "thumbsup" Especially for guys running brushed motors.

That was unforgettable. :ror:

Whew...waterproofed everything. Feeling a bit more confident in the rigs swimming capabilities now. Trying to sway my buddy to come help/spot. Im figuring it will be pretty wet up there with all the rain forecasted this week.

Nice another comp newb...true, it would be bad to lose to a 5 year old, or a guy that has been crawling maybe a month. But, I have heard of worse..

Nonetheless it will be a good time win,lose,smoking,melting....etc "thumbsup"

Quick update.

Weather Channel is showing scattered storms around the TTC site for Sunday with a high in the upper 50's and lows in the lower 40's. The spot is largerly covered by trees and is mainly above the water line so a little rain dripping won't be too bad.

We are still planning to do the event unless a greater act of god comes into play, so if you guys are good to go so are we "thumbsup"

Good to go! Maybe just have a shelter set up so I can fix my rig without getting rained on. :ror:

I'm good unless roads get washed out. ..wondering if I should waterproof the 4pl...

Well Griz, you might get your wish. I started a new job and I'm on the schedule to work Sunday.....

Alrighty guys, executive decision time.

With all the crazy rain we've been having there is a concern for access to the site this weekend ie; flooding and possible rock slides on the roads to the site and the river running through the site itself.

Plus some of the drivers will be more than likely dealing with the weather affecting their homes and families, hopefully not too bad.

It's your call guys, we want the TTC to happen but for the safety of everyone we are open to moving the event to next week sunday or a later date, whatever works for you guys.

I'm still good with this weekend. But the flooding hasn't been that bad at my place.

Morrison is flooded if you have to move the TTC. :ror:

Don't you have plans for next sunday? ;-)
