Best bang for ur $$$ is definitely JUNFAC. MIPs are Great but way over priced. JunFac are just as good an a 1/4 of the price.

X2 been running junfacs exclusivly for 4-5 years now. also much lighter than MIPs and way better priced.

another vote for Junfac. I run them on 3s brushless wraith and my scx10. No issues.

MIP if you're okay spending, Traxxas shafts if you're on a tight budget. RC4WD steel punishers (original or rebuildable, not the V3) or Junfacs if you want a more scale appearance.

They look great. I haven't run them yet, so I couldn't speak to durability.

Know anyone who has run them? I have the version one for my transmission to transfer case shaft, just sold off the junfacs my rig came with, thinking of either these version 2 or mip. I'm running a crawlmaster pro 16t and I'll be running it on 2s not 3s. You think I'll be ok with the version 2 or just get the mip's and call it a day?

are they as tuff as peple say? not too shure on lenght yet i have a t case on the way from russia, the wheel base should be around 12.5 to 13 inches its on a vaterra ascender frame and mini revo transmissions with drive shaft adapters that i had made. how about solid couplers for the trans to t case like the tf2 any one had any problems with slid couplers

IMO I have to say no. A lot of people look to them as the standard "best", but also mentioned in this thread is the pins falling out. I wanted to second that statement as I've lost a lot of pins too, even using red loctite. Many will disagree with me, but that's been my experience. I gave up on MIP a loooong time ago

me personally I don't like mips , and I have 3 set , I have broken j-fac on 3s , I have broke maxx shafts , the only ones I think are the best are steel punishers shafts . they will work at crazy angles and still be smooth ,will hold the power and still hang in there when you get it bound up

HARD STEEL driveshafts on eBay are somewhat hard to find, but have always done well on every truck I've owned that they make them for. Zero breaks, zero lost pins, zero rust and they are typically cheap if you can find them....

I had an ultra 4 rig that was built to the test. I had them on it and within 10mins they were shredded.:twisted:

Another vote for Maxx shafts. Cheap, Light, durable and easy to customize. Run them on my scalers and sporty. Plus the most important thing..... you can find parts for them almost everywhere.

Maxx Shafts for best short term value since you can get a set of shafts and yokes for right around $12.
They are easy to shorten so they are great for short or non-standard length builds. Plus they will run at really steep angle.

For rigs that I plan to keep and don't require cutting the shafts I use MIP.
