Losi 1/10th Roller

Well at least the testing is still going on thats a good sign, one question that you may be able to answer, will the HH cobalt 7T be good in this rig?

I just hope the gearing is close to the same as the AX-10. I love the wheel speed and torque I have. I may not buy one if I have to go brushless to have the same wheelspeed and torque I get with my 35T HHH and 87/14 on 9.6v.

Tanis did say that running they Excelliron 17.5 was close to 45ish. I check this more than any other waiting on the gear ratio.

4WD will be the center position, Front DIG to the rear , and Rear DIG to the front. You should be able to run this DIG on a 2 position switch (if you don't want front or rear DIG).

so you saying a 3 position 3rd channel will operate front and rear dig? ive been hearing a 4 ch. will be needed to use both...

A three position switch should be fine. BUT you won't have freewheel. To have freewheel in both front or rear digs, you will need a 4-channel radio.

I THINK I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. DUE TO THE WORM GEAR MESS(ANGLED), OPPOSED TO THE RING AND PINION GEAR MESS ?(MORE VERTICAL)

hard to explain, but the main gear cannot turn the worm gear...has to be the other way around.

It's not a spin, but more like a push. The little corkscrew gear has to push the big gear.

And turn off your caps button.

And the word is mesh.

Well I couldn't figure out why you were calling it a mess, it didn't make sense, so you're welcome.

It would be a bum deal if a 7t puller on 3 cell only did a measly 45 turn speed for the amount of power it draws.

Nothing mentioned in the article on the axle ratio though.

Jason

That's what I'm waiting on too. Too much gearing and what could be very efficient could turn very inefficient ie really short run times.

I'm sure they'll figure it out....and if not I'm sure there will be plenty of after market support for different ratios.

comments on RCCA's article....

The gear ratio is one that is changing for production...that one is on me...just gave him the wrong numbers.

RC Car Actions magazine review shows 80:1 with a 15T pinion if that helps. Nothing mentioned in the article on the axle ratio though.
Jason

The gear ratio is still in the works per Rich

Tanis....what is the largest battery dimensions that will work? Guess mainly need the length.

Dang! I wish this was coming out before the axial scx10. Seen this thing and thought I would get it instead of scx10, but late feb/early march! Come on! Oh well, that's around income tax time....mmmm!
