I'm a believer in the Mamba Max. I push mine pretty hard and they never let up. I also have a Sidewinder on my sons truck. Works like a champ.
Thanks again for all the help....I really apreciate it..."thumbsup"
Can I ask you guys about your esc...whats a good one if I don't run 2 Roosters...?
i run the "Novak Rooster" which has great sensitivity, breaking and reversing and it seems to stay really cool. "thumbsup"
a good basic setup would be running a ''Novak Rooster" with two Novak 55t motors wired in parallel. This method of wiring gives you faster speeds but shorter run times.
series
This method of wiring gives you higher torque and longer run times but lower speeds.
here is alink to novak's how to guide. its a great read."thumbsup"

Can I ask you guys about your esc...whats a good one if I don't run 2 Roosters...?
do you use 2 esc for the setup...? Don't you need to have an esc that handles 2 motors...?
I am running a single Tekin FX-R and love it. It puts the Novak Rooster to shame in my opinion.
the rooster can handle up to 2-55t's or 1-27t.
alot of places sell a novak rooster and a 55t motor that has internal capacitor's for just over 100$ for the kit. so all u would need would be one more motor.
there are alot of good Esc's out there, just make sure to do some research. there are waterproof esc's also just to mention it too. "thumbsup"
so are you splitting the motor wires to run to 2 motors..? sorry for all the questions.. my friend told me I nee the Traxxas evx2 in order to run one esc. I want something with drag but says you'd have to pay up 250.00 + for something like that...
I'm lost...
no problem."thumbsup" 1 rooster esc can run 2 55t motors with no problems. for battery's it can run up to a 7 cell or a lipo 2 cell.
how i wired mine when i just ran 1 esc is is in parallel. + and - from the esc go's to the + & - of the first motor then run jumpers to the other motor. you do have to change the wiring on the second motor so the axles spin the same way.
I have a XTM X-Crawler and have pretty much given up on keeping a servo on it. I have just gone to useing the cheap Tower Pro servos on it now but they aren't strong enough to start with but last just as long as the $100-$150 servoes I have used on it. Does anybody have any suggestions to a good servo for X-Crawler? I have tried JR and Airtronics metal gear servos that the lhs said had plenty of power but one JR lasted maybe 10 minutes and two others lasted maybe 3-4 batteries and the airtronics lasted about 3-4 batteries. I am tired of throwing money away anybody have any ideas. :x
Yep.
Before you go spending more money on servos, I'd suggest you take that money and step up to a radio that can actually work. The Traxxas radios are great for the n00bie but that's it. Get a radio that has EPA's and all the other bells and whistles that will make you grin from ear to ear.
