You might want check out Minnesota competitions. There is a few guys from Eau Claire that make the drive. A lot more terrain and club efforts going down up there.

Once again, any of you guys want to get a very good experience crawling. SERIOUSLY try to plan a trip to a MNRCRC comp! I can honestly tell you that you will never run into as good of a bunch of guys as the ones there.

There's a fair number of guys running that live in EC now and I as well would cover everything from there to help anyone out to make it to a Taylor's Falls comp "thumbsup"

Welcome to RC Crawler fanke! I've actually been wondering if the lakefront in Kenosha would have some decent crawling spots. I've been down there a few times to photograph the lighthouse and alway wished I had my AX-10 with me.

Wow, I never even considered the breakwater boulders. I'm totally new to this crawling stuff...my first instinct is that those are WAY too big for r/c crawling...but I've been proven wrong before

I'm still not sure, but they've got some stuff a little ways north of the lighthouse that looks doable. Not real sure where else to find good rocks in this part of the state!

So, this is my first post after running the Scorpion RTR for the first time"thumbsup"This thing is probably the biggest bang for the buck r/c I have ever purchased. I was a little bummed out at first because I didn't have any 6cell batteries to run...so I used one of the 4cell 4200 packs from my Bolink Legend. Wow...there was no problem at all with that setup:shocklenty of speed and power for what I'm going to do with a crawler...and I didn't time it but I think it lasted over 30 minutes.

So now it's time to hook the wife and daughter ( 7yrs old )...so I grabbed the freshly peaked battery ( another 4200 4cell ) and I decided to time the runtime. Even more impressive...35+ minutes! In fact, the battery didn't dump yet...but we had to go in the house so I shut it off. Unlike me who was on and off the throttle over rocks, stumps, logs, hills, etc...75% of the girls useage consisted of wide open through the yard and around trees through the thick grass.

I'm not planning to buy any different batteries any time soon. If I bring three charged batteries with me at any given time...I shouldn't have any trouble getting an easy hour of runtime without having to bring all my gear with me. The bummer was, by the time I got done with two battery packs through the truck, the low battery light was blinking on the controller.

Several rollovers, and several head on dead stop collisions, and nothing broke. The only "loss" was a body clip.

I can see my next investment should be a rechargable tx pack. Now...should I go lipo for that or just nimh?:?:

Does anybody have a part number handy for a tx pack for my Spektrum DX3 radio?
