Winch Controller - Relay Driven - External Power

So for a 1/6 scale rig that's probably going to weigh 20+lbs which I'd like to use a 540 motor and axial transmission as a winch which one should I get? Looking at running 2s or a 7.2v stick pack, could do 3s just for the winch

I think I would want the 16 amp controller for that. Or maybe I should look into making something larger for you.

It should be all you need though unless you are running your winch close to stalling.

Not exact sure on the weight, but it's going to run on t/e MAXX axles and connected by a 1/4 inch plate of aluminum. Body is a huge H1 for Gi Joes I'll try the 16a one I guess after I finish assembly

I am very impressed with these winch controllers.I have been using the 4amp version on some Hitec 7955 servos with awesome results. Thanks for making such a great product"thumbsup""thumbsup"

I use 3S 2200 packs with a 10amp CC BEC set at 7.4volts. The Bec powers both the steering servo and winch controller"thumbsup"

Can you report on the amperage the servo winch pulls?

Can you put the same battery power plug on this as the No Brainer has ,So a guy can use the controller with one battery,,,PIC and how much more ,,,KMS,,,

Sure, I could do put a double Dean style connector on the cable for another $2.
Good idea!

Following KMS's suggestion to include a double deans style of connector to make it easy to power the winch.

Also, I will no longer offer the other sizes of relay winch controllers unless it is a special order.

Sweet AL very sweet ,It will make it alot easier to plug an play,,,KMS,,,"thumbsup"

Just acquired the 4A controller from RPP.
Will be used with a TZiWorld Beefy winch.

Thanks for making awesome, simple stuff!

well, I have been using the 6v and 7.4v winch controller on my servo winch. I love it!!!

I just want to make sure one thing here.
here is what I got on my C3 rig...

4PL radio
MMP ESC and set internal BEC voltage for 7.4V
3S 11.1V Lipo
7950 Steering servo(front)
7954 Steering servo(rear)
one CCBEC @ 7.4v for both front and rear steering servo
Hitec 7955 Servo winch with Heyok Higher Voltage Winch Controller(7.4V), so for this set up, I just connect my servo winch to 4PL receiver.

However, if I want to run with this 4 amp relay winch controller now instead of Heyok Higher Voltage Winch Controller, then do I need to get one CCBEC for 4 amp relay winch controller ?

With that last setup, just plug the controller into the winch channel. Plug the double Deans between your ESC and battery. Your winch will be getting battery voltage!
