Hi guys!

I'd like to buy myself a crawler. Which is the best 2.2 class crawler setup I can get for 350 $ (car + radio)? If possible... RTR 'cuz I have never owned any RC vehicles before... Please reply!

Thanks!

i think the only 2.2 rtr kit is from axial, not too sure though, but its about $240? and has lots of upgrades, sop with the extra $100 you can make it better

wait a couple more days until the rtc comes out from axial. drill some holes in the wheels, add a little weight. you'll be set. and the best part is it is about $240

Creeper, best out of the box crawler-$199.99(the crawler store), novak crawler esc & 55t motor $105.00, and any cheap radio off here or ebay!

axial RTC! the best rtr kit to come out yet! comes with everything but a battry but it has, proline hammer tires, memory foam, 55t motor, higher tourqe servo than the rtr, esc that works ok, ok radio it works good for a starter, and also the new shocks from axia throw some super softs on there and your golden

the rtc is pretty much the plastic parts off the rtr but they are beefier. also it comes with axials better esc and 55t motor now. plus the tires and foams from the artr. its a solid setup and pretty capable with very little mods.

creeper = no cheap plastic parts to break and not spendding $$ to upgrade to the intial quality of the creeper out of the box. For about $50.00 more than the cheap plastic axial rtc or rtr, you'd being quality rig and esc, motor and electronics

Rtr

The AX10 rtr will be the rig your looking for. The fun thing about the rtr is you can build it up as you go. There are tons of aftermarket parts out there. Have fun with whatever you decide to do."thumbsup"

By the way, I'm from Slovenia (not Slovakia, these are 2 different countries!). And the Creeper is not available here. Plus ax10 has much more upgrades nad support...

Screw aftermarket support! Look at my build on the venom creeper. Once I get a the dig unit (once available) i'm confident i'll be able to compete with $1000+ rigs (MOA and Shafties). A dig is the only thing holding back that last bit of performance I can get with this truck.
Creepers the way to go for best out of the box performance. No it's not RTR, but then again you get what you pay for. Especially when it comes to electronics. With online prices you'd be looking at $300-400 which is a pretty reasonable price for what you get. Novak system is $105 and the truck is what $210, + or - some extras like wheel weights, lipo, tires, and springs. If you get everything from one source like CKRC, they will sometimes give you free shipping too.

and one more thing! I'm actually looking into crawler for my robotics project - i need a good off-road platform. However, i'd like my crawler to go at least 5 mph on the road... i will also be able to switch between autonomous driving and RC.... :D

Does anyone know what is the top speed of the creeper? (I know that ax10 is fast enough for me, but the creeper just became it's top contender...still haven't made up my mind)

If your just doing backyard crawling and no comps I would say go for the RTR creeper kit you have the link too. If not go with the Creeper and buy seperate parts that you select. It will be more expensive, but at the same time you will be getting better equipment. It's nice if your starting out to get a RTR kit. Especially if your new to the RC hobby. It takes the guess work out of what your going to need. That way in the future you know what you'll need and what you won't. If that makes sense. Hope this helps. "thumbsup"

It won't be the truck that decides how fast you can go. That will be the motor, esc, and gearing your running, working together to achieve what you want.

Brand new to the hobby, I would suggest getting the AX10 RTC as well. You get all the basics you need to get going (besides battery and charger). This leaves enough cash (out of your 350) to get a nice charger that will charge all the different kinds of batteries. Then as you break things, you can then upgrade. Just my 2 cents worth. I am waiting for the RTC to come out for a couple of friends that want to get into the hobby as well. I see it as very good entry point.
