What the newest cheap servo hotness?

Just checked and they are back in stock.

Just ordered a couple. I have owned many and they have done well for me. Not sure if they live up to the spec numbers but for the price they are good for some of my scaler projects. Even converted one over to a winch, which is nice and strong.

Saw these on AliExpress.

$19
7.4v

Edit: Looks like the JX is a complete rip off of the Holmes Hobbies V1 SHV500 so nahhh :flipoff:

I just ordered one of these for my scx10 II crc wrangler. Did anyone that has a 3link front with panhard bar have to use spacers to mount this servo or is it a direct drop in swap? I’ve heard of people having to use spacers so the panhard sdoesnt hit the steering horn

It's great that so many people are buying servos and letting us know how they work out.

My first necessary change on my rig was the steering servo and replacing it with even a PowerHD 25kg waterproof (all that was available locally for around $80) was a bit of a wrench. I have another (much cheaper) spare purchased after finding this thread.

Thanks to all who participate in this thread, keep it up. When my next replacement is needed I will definitely be looking here for ideas.

Have just ordered a JX CLS6327HV. Should be a bit better than the Power HD LW-20MG

Stall Torque (6V): 22.61kg.cm (313.99oz/in)
Stall Torque( 7.4V): 27.45kg.cm (381.37oz/in)

I won't buy a JX servo after they copied the HH servo.

Maybe, but I don't see myself rewarding a Chinese company for bad behavior. If you want to that is your decision but I really hope you don't have something similar happen to you and expect sympathy. Plenty of alternatives out there that didn't egregiously steal from a US small business.

Amen. Buy from the people that move this hobby forward, not the ones dragging it down by ripping the former off. This practice pretty much cost me my business. But I'm not gonna get into that cuz I've (cough) moved on...

??? Why not? Everything in our hobby is copied..one way or the other :lmao:

BTW...this servo is awesome...specially for that price ;)

Indeed. If someone can link another servo that has the same or better specs for the same price, then I'll be the first one to buy it "thumbsup"

JX STOLE JRH ‘s design of the V1.... easily confirmed. Copying is one thing Theft is another.

Hang up and Drive
I think you're wasting your breath, unfortunately. Some people care way more about saving a couple dollars than any kind of moral integrity....

I'll bring up my experience (yet again)...

Well before the news hit the forum that JX was (poorly) copying the Holmes SHV500 v1, I purchased one of what was then only known to be JX's top-of-the-line brushless 12v-direct-power capable servo.

I bought it purely as a backup in the event that my heavily upgraded (and just plain heavy) Bomber toasted its HH SHV500 v1 servo - this has not yet occurred!

So I installed the JX in my TRX-4 Defender and it fried immediately when connected to a 3S LiPo - taking with it the ESC.

Buyer beware.
