I added TREAL +3mm extenders. I'll take a photo with the tires on, once I finish some other upgrades
They have other sizes. I didn't want to go too wide because of the gate widths at the competitions. You can get them on Amazon. Currently 25% off. Other TREAL products are also 25% off! https://amzn.to/3oV5X1g
Designed some beadlocks that I’ll be printing in PETG. very excited for these. They are loosely based off of the American Racing AR172 Baja wheels, but not exact because how they mount onto the tire. Not finished, still have some smaller details to add.
The lip of the wheel looks strange, but that’s is where the beadlock ring will go in.
Bought a fitted 2 Trailwalker bodies that I found pretty cheap on FB. Still have a lot of wheel well trimming, but it looks good IMO. Weathered body still needs fitted and need to close the hood.
Completed the front motor mount and servo relocation on my trx6. Right now, I’m just waiting for a bumper mount so I mount the servo and cooling fans and finally finalize this build. It’s been 3 weeks and still have not receive it yet..
Complete tear down, re-greased everything and sanded and painted my frame rails. Probably won’t last long lol, but it looks good on the shelf. Didn’t get pictures while they were off, but we all know what frame rails look like. They were a lot worse than this picture, this picture is pretty old
I get bored crawling the same body...switched back to the Yellow Jeep Body, but with the white beadlock wheels, think they look good with the yellow body.
Been running the pro line dual stage foams in the rear tires and recently added them to the front wheels too, super happy with the results...This was after the Dirty Richard Single Stage Foam Medium foams I put in the front tires disintegrated after a couple weeks, would not recommend these and to stay away.....but, When switching the foams the Super Swamper tires openings were all stretched out and wouldn't mount to the rims. So running my old Hyrax tires up front:roll: and super swampers in rear.
Got a new front bumper (RC4WD) after trying to mod the old one and destroying it.
Cut, chopped, and drilled holes to direct mount the RC4WD side sliders on the chassis...gets rid of all the spacers and extra crap. Also the ends of the RC4WD sliders were square and didn't really look good IMO so grinded the ends and rounded them off a bit....looks really clean and sits flush, the holes were just small enough so the bolts self threaded into the plastic and metal.
Some wheel love.....going for a wide stance on this rig, nice thing about these brass hex spacers is you don't have to cut your axles to get scale hub lockers to fit, simply screw them over the existing locking nuts, fits perfect. "thumbsup"
