What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

Yesterday I unboxed my deadbolt, took everything out of the packages. Got two of the RC4WD steels tamped wheels on two of my 1.55 rock stompers. For tonight, I am going to cut out my bigbird 1st gen 4runner body, find some lead and weight the two other wheels, then mount them. Then order an alum servo horn and rod ends for the all thread to make some links "thumbsup".

Helped my son add a few scale accessories to his SCX10

Also helped him install his new Pro-Line PowerStroke shocks he got for Christmas

How did you mount that body up front? I see you cut the fenders out for clearance but did you have to use longer posts? Painted up a Comanchee body for my moms scx for Xmas and I'm trying to get the height right without chopping too much off the body.

Not sure if you can tell but just put the front body posts up about 4 or 5 holes? Mounts right up!

Added some HD OD gears to match the under drives in the rear , got my servo horn , new motor leads .......

I took it's body to Hobbytown to get some screws to fit the holes in the roof/roll cage (it's a Jeep Wrangler RTR,that one) to install something soon

Yesterday I installed my new bumper and relocated the battery to its proper location. today im gonna kill all the lines that my truck wouldn't do with the stock battery location.

I took it for its first run on lipo - had more punch than on the Nimhs which was to be expected. Haven't moved the battery yet - wanted I run it totally stock for a little bit before I change anything. Once my orders start to come in I will move the battery and start the mods / upgrades.
Can anyone point me to a thread on moving the battery to a horizontal / lateral position behind the front shock towers? I have seen lots of instructions to move the battery from the back to up front but I want it to run across ways behind the shock hoops so that the weight is a little lower.

Here is a picture to the thread it is in so you can find it easy. It seems like Harley said it was $20? His build thread is great for information about upgrades to a stock Deadbolt.

Ordered a set of 1.9 beadlock wheels. Then looked around fleaBay and realized I could build a second rig using leftover parts from my current rig and Axial new parts for about $150. So ordered up them parts and will have a second rig early January.
