Ordered these. Different than I've seen most people run. Figured I'd give em a shot.

TowerHobbies.com | RC4WD Fuel Offroad Mud Gripper 1.9" Tires

These tires seem SUPER sticky. Hard to even get out of the package. I'm going to need to adjust the ram body a bit, but I expected that.
The foams... if you can call them that.. are total junk.
If towerhobies sold CI foams I would have ordered them at the same time.
Tower had $10 off a $49 order, so it was cheaper than RPP.
Waiting for foams then should be good to go.

Rebuilding a stock 1987 clodbuster my co worker gave to me after he broke it all apart again. I already patched it not long ago but he's an animal and the old brittle plastic isn't what she used to be. I took everything apart, even bought vintage ball bearing kit to replace the plastic bushings in the gearboxes and axles, added aluminum plates on the inside where the suspension arms attach, used automotive body panel adhesive to hold everything together and add stregnth to the mounting points. I'm going to run the stock msc on 3s and see how long that lasts. I think I'll mount a cheap esc fan on the resistor because that'll get hot if I'm not wide open all the time since that's what lowers the voltage to the motors for lower speed. The stock Chevy grill got a little scratched up from him but oh well, at least it's not mint and I won't mind bashing around with it.

Got the old clod finished up for so fun. Hopefully I'll get some time to burn a battery through it tomorrow. I bought a generic spektrum 3 channel receiver off amazon for $10. It bound perfectly to my dx4c radio which I needed because the msc needs the fine tuning ability to get everything right. This truck is like my 1:1 '82 short bed. I kept it carbureted and enjoy the tuning and tinkering. I will find a front bumper for it at some point. Then I'll have to get some maine lobster plates made up for it too.

Hey Ben, I've got a front bumper with a few scratches you can have.
