One thing that will really lower the center of gravity on the venom is to buy and axial transmission and mount it on the skid. It sits much lower and weights much less than that huge box thats on there now.
a saddle pack is a battery that is split into two sepearte batteries but are wired series to get the voltage up. you can locate them apart from one another to shift weight around. They are mainly used on offroad racing cars or some onroad cars.
No the axial does not bolt right up,you will have to drill holes into the bottom skid plate to bolt it thru but the driveshafts will bolt right onto it.
And of course the axial has steel gears, and a locker.."thumbsup"
The axial does not come with steel gears stock, but they do come locked. Locked pretty much means it is full time 4X4. You will also want to lock the front and rear diff on that thing before they explode because they will. I have a used axial transmission for sale with all new steel gears and output shafts so its bulletproof. If interested pm me.
my safari is still running strong. i did end up killing the stock motor and servo also. there was a creek involved though. if kept dry they may still be runnin. iv broke a couple axle and wheel hex pins, nothing else.
dont let these axial fools tell u anything about something they dont own,i have 2 creepers and 1 safari and the creeper is just as capable if not better as the ax10 i own a wraith and an ax10 ,and the safari is a creeper with a chassis on top to hold the body, axial is way overpriced and no better than the safari/creeper,yes axial has more aftermarket stuff for there products but hr racing also has alot for the creeper,in the three years i have owned my creeper i have never blown a diff or a spur gear ever,it is a very quality made crawler and there are some simple upgrades that will make it crawl with an axial ax10 anyday,i also own a wraith and yes it is a great truck but the creeper is an awesome crawler for the money
no the creeper is actually a very quality made crawler, try not overtightening the screws as anything will strip if ur stupid enough to overtighten it,i own an ax10 axial and 2 creepers they both are great crawlers and neither one is better than the other, for the price the creeper is an awesome buy and if you just put the 6.00 dif locker in the diffs will last many years, ive had my creeper for 3 years and not any issues with the diff or tranny or pretty much anything it has been a great crawler,i can tell you that ive bought alot more broken parts for the ax10 than the creeper,so u decide
