What is good servo for the vaterra ascender k10 rtr ive heard the stock one is underpowered and i plan on getting an ascender soon

I use the savox 1210sg in my k10. Water proof with 277oz torque. Bought mine at powerhobby.com with aluminum servo arm for $82

I tried a savox 231 in my ascender, it lasted less than 2 hours. From my understanding any of the high torque savox servos require a bec. I use a heyok bec in mine, and my cheap T-pro mg958 has held up well so far. Very happy with it for under $18. I don't expect it to last for long with the new tires I just mounted up though.

I haven't had any issues usng the 1210sg servo and stock esc without an external bec. but if your running lights also you will want the extra juice from a bec.

Good suggestions already that should work fine. "thumbsup"

If you want a really strong servo check out Hitec HS7950-TH, but you'll need a BEC with it. However, I've read of couple folks using Hobbywing WP1080 ESC without BEC with good results.

Good old reliable 7950 is always money well spent. You can also spend a little more and get its 25t horn brother the D950TW.

HobbyStar DSHV-300T Digital, Mega-Torque Titanium Gear, High-Voltage Servo, Waterproof ...... I don't know your price range I'm probably gonna buy this servo next , 54.99 425oz if I remember correctly...rc juice

I run a Savox 1230sg with BEC in my K5 Ascender. The stock servo lasted for a little while doing some simple crawling. But after a few outings of serious rock crawling it crapped out. Servo, BEC, RX Bypass Adapter and Deans tap cost me a little less than $100. A little pricey, but you can rebuild the servo gears for about $27.

Holmes HV500. I love them in my scale trucks, they're silent, fast and have lots of torque. I'm running one paired with a Hobbywing 1080 in my TF2 and in my SCX2, no external BEC. The ESC is set to 7.4V, although this servo can handle 8.4V. Another option is the SHV500 which can run directly from a 3S lipo, but it's $20 more.
