Just finished building my cc01 and driving around the house it is slow, lurchy and the esc is smelling burnt, could the lurchy movement be from a possibly burnt esc? The motor is also getting hotter than it should be from driving 5 ft, also a sign of burnt esc? What do you guys think?

Forgot to mention, it will not move in reverse, it instead lets out a loud shrill sound from the motor, starting to think its in the diffs beacuse with the motor out it works fin in both directions. Could it be that the esc is melting because it is under too much stress from the diffs not working right?

1st thing stop running it! Sounds like there is binding in the drivetrain, the motor is working to hard to turn everything. Pull the motor out and try turning the tires. They should move freely. If not disconnect the rear driveshaft and turn the back axle, if it's hard to turn that is your problem. If not try to turn the front. Its not a complex truck, it might be as simple as having a 20t pinion in the holes for the 16.
