Ugh, another one

I went underdrive gears in the rear diff and overdrive gears in the front diff. Still ended up with around a 20% difference, but lower overall gear reduction vs portal OD gears. 30% is a bit too much for trailing as it just needlessly drags the ass around, and 10% is barely noticeable, so 20%ish was my Goldilocks.

Well after looking, looks like the underdrive gears, like most Vanquish products, are currently being made of unobtainium, so, I think I’m am just going to put these together with stock gears for now and run it and see how it does.

Work has been crazy and I was rebuilding my Ascender to give to my buddy as a wedding present but finally got the Capra out today. Other than the slipper slipping too much at the end of the day, I was very pleased with the Tekin servo, the predator compound BFG’s and the rig as a whole. Here is a couple pics of our outing.

What tires are on the green rig? I just ordered some for my Capra. Hope they’re better than the stock trail grapplers

Those are stock Ascender wheels and tires. They are not bad for stock tires.

Never mind that took all of 2 minutes to find lol. TSL SX. I ordered some Austar 4020’s.basically the same tire, not sure about the compound though

Yeah, they are a replica TSL SX. I believe proline makes them in predator compounds well..

Got a chance to take the Capra out to the local indoor crawling area. It did very well. One thing I did decide is I want to get the dig functional. I was running my SCX10.III Bronco which comes with a dig and I became a fan very quickly. Anyway, on to some pics:

This was about half of the area. The other was large boulders.

Anybody got any advice for dig setup? I have the spectrum micro servo and the part you need but I didn't know if there was a better solution.

Anyway, thanks for looking.

Dig installed and functioning!
