Long story short, was in a motorcycle accident in Jan of 2017. Broke all bones in my right leg and right wrist.

Needed something to keep me busy as well as exercise my wrist. So i convinced the wife to let me get a Twin Hammers kit to build.

Plans were a trail truck, beach basher, and spare rig if someone wants to tag along on the trail.

Thanks to BilinVic for helping with the front shock setup

Build:

Twin Hammers kit

Power:
Castle Mamba X, Castle 3800kv sensored brushless, Solar D772 steering servo, Hitec HS-225MG shift servo

Suspension: GCM Racing upright shock towers and rear axle truss, St Irie steering, Traxxas Big Bore front shocks (internally limited 4mm), Traxxas TRX-4 front springs, G-made piggyback rear shocks, stock kit beadlocks and Swamper tires

Lighting:
Power Shift Night Killer big square LED pods
link to his webstore (He's not a vendor, so not sure if it's allowed, i'll delete if not)

Plans: beat on it regularly

Other plans: After going to the Ultimate Scale Truck Expo, i want to attempt to do some more scale additions

Where did you purchase the lights? My searches are only returning automotive products. Nevermind, I found them. They're "Night Killers". ;)
Are you running them off your receiver, or a separate battery?

Ah, thanks, yeah, full size OSRAM Night Breaker bulbs are stuck in my head after buying all new for the GTIs lol. Fixed as well as added his webstore link.

They're powered straight off the 3S battery (using a PowerShift xt60 pass thru to JST)

Thanks! Those osram bulbs is what I kept finding until I searched on power shift RC. I'm probably going to pick those up because they will fit perfectly in the sqaure holes in my aluminum brush guard. Nice rig BTW, I also saw it on the Facebook group.

Check his page, he's also got flush mount scale LED pods as well that looks great installed!! He came out to the Ultimate Scale Truck Expo with a table full of goodies and a couple rigs done up with all his lights

Twin Hammers looks great color, what paint is it? Nice LED light pods too. :)

Paint was done on the outside of the panels, Tamiya PS-7 Orange poly spray cans on top of Tamiya 86001 white base so the orange really pops. And I sprayed the interior of the panels grey/silver so it "should" scratch nicely

Took the Twin Hammers to the kids playground with some kids that are staying at our place for a few weeks. It drew a crowd of kids chasing after it as well as a crowd of dads wanting to know more about it. (why can't they have fun too at the park?) Thing is a BLAST to drive just bashing around and tearing up the sand. HOWEVER, i did find out i think i'm about 1mm too short in my internal limiters on the shocks as i popped the dog bones out 3 times on the same wheel. Have to rebuild that shock now with a new piece of fuel tubing.

I LOVE the new MambaX and Castle 3800kv sensored motor. PERFECT basher setup in high gear while still trail-able in low

My yeti does that after i upgraded to proline xt shocks.
And yes these things make AWESOME beach blasters! Ironically i described it in my ascender build thread lol

Considering one of these as a cheap rwd baja truck so i dont have to ruin said yeti lol
Glad some good came from your crash. Scary stuff man. In the navy we lose sailors too often to bikes. I think they are neat but i would never dare buy one.
Congrats on cheating death sir, and cool build here! Now get to work on hoppers blazer! Lol

Brought the Hammers along on vacation to California. Bashed the snot out of it at Lake Tahoe at the beach and a trail running up along Emerald Bay.
Snapped this when first at the water.
