Turnigy or MKS HV-767 Servo? Anyone tried?

from the pics it looks like it would fit in the normal servo mounts, right? it is only bigger than a typical servo in the one dimension, height (if standing upright)?

thanks for the pics and being the brave one to try it out. i'm looking forward to hearing good results."thumbsup"
x2 that would be a great servo to have as a backup if it holds up good. anxiously awaiting feedback! "thumbsup"

Yep, 100% normal servo mounts for our "standard size". I'm going to say that this servo is underrated in power. On my rock force axles, with 18mm wideners, Vanquish Pro-Comp 40's, and RC4wd X-Loc 40's, it has NO problem turning them in a complete bind. It will move the ass end of the truck, and this porker weigh's over 10lb's.

A good buy, but there's always the issue of having to deal with failure. All warranty is handled overseas. It comes with all plastic servo horns, so you'll need a metal servo horn, and they are Futaba splines(25).

Thanks for the update and I knew this little baby was going to be a beast. All the reviews I read on the MKS version were great so I'm not really surprised to hear your feedback. Can't wait to get mine tomorrow and I'll post up my thoughts as well, it's going on a Black widow Axial that weighs about 6lbs so it should throw the truck around however it will be in a bta setup so we'll see if it get warm.

damn. sounds sweet. please give another update in the future and let us know if you've run into any problems with it.
it seems to me the thing is a sweet deal, and i'd imagine it's got enough power to not be over loading it, so the durability is there...just speculating. i'll probably be throwing one on my next order.

are these badboys holding up?

im going to order me one of these if they are "bullitproof"
but hobbyking.com is out of stock :( anywhere else that sells these servos?

I was gonna get a 645mg servo...but after seeing these on Crawl Canada and here..I mightr have to pick a couple up...1 for the Revo...1 for the crawler. 400+ Oz of torque is insane!!!

So far, 7.4V with an hour or so, and no troubles. HK has been out of stock for the past few days, but their stock changes by the hour. Sign up for "Stock Notification", and you'll get an e-mail as soon as the backorders are processed. It looks like they have -20 right now, so 20 people are in line ahead of you. They're quick about sending backorders out, but they never go more than 20.

They are at -1 now but when it shows -20 they could actually be minus 200 they only show up to -20 on that screen. If you do a search on the turnigy servos and organize it using the details tab it will show the actual stock level. They get new stk within 2 weeks usually and they will probably order like 100 at a time. The first batch of what appeared to be 100 sold out in 5 days so there are a alot of these servos out there already so keep checking on the reviews on hk site. I have mine now but have not got to install it yet so I'll post up shortly on my thoughts.

Hmmm I was reading the reviews on the HK site for this servo. 3 of the 10 reviews were poor saying it died within a day. All the bad reviews were in March 2010. Also, I can't find a gear kit for this servo on their site. One of the reviews said that the gears stripped right out. These are supposed to have titanium gears, so that's pretty supprising. Maybe only SOME of the gears are titanium?

I stripped mine in a matter of 5 minutes and it was causing my DX3E receiver to cut in and out in a bind. Going back for a refund so I would stay away from these. They looked great on paper but it is possible I got a dud??? Had to try and see anyways but now I'm looking for a good hitec or jr instead.

thanks for the update on these servos. almost ordered one when they were in stock....and was waiting for a report before ordering when back in stock.

maybe they had a bad run of them???
