Trying to find the Element RC 3d printed engine

Hi folks! Longtime lurker, always found what I needed just by reading.

I ordered a Sendero SE today (only $210 on Horizon's site!), and I saw on Element's site they at one time had a set of files where one could print a scale engine. Unfortunately, the .rar that is linked seems to be corrupted, it won't unpack on my computer. Shapeways is also gone, they have totally changed their site and what they do. I have let AE know, they are looking into it. I have done some searching and no luck finding the files, so I figured I'd ask the folks who presumably have used them...

Does anyone have the files to share? I'd like to get started printing 😁

Thanks!

Welcome to the site! You need a program called WinRAR to extract .rar files. Looks like 7-Zip will also do it. I'd recommend 7-Zip since it's completely free and open-source.

I had a program called RAR Opener from the Windows store, it wouldn't work so I thought the file was corrupted. I just used WinRAR to get it open and it worked, thanks for the suggestion. I have 7Zip on my other machine already, I didn't know it could do RAR too.

I have an interior printing right now, I will have to get the engine going next. I found a decent looking hinge, but I will likely have to CAD up my own hood support and interior reinforcement.

You're welcome. Glad I could help.
