TRX 4 Sport Kit vs Axial SCX10 II?

I will look into this for sure, thanks!

I mentioned it in my thread for the SCX10 II I think, but after rereading this thread I don't blame you lol.

I was told here on one of these posts, somewhere, the sport is good with a 21t Titan and the 45t Spur with a 9 or 12 pinion.
I do know the kit comes with a 39t Spur, or 38, and smallest pinion that will work is 15t. Unfortunately the trx4 uses a matching system for gear combos; that is the k my thing I don’t like about this truck.

Make sure you decide on gearing before applying the slipper pads. I made the mistake too late and a new slipper set is $12.

I made the same mistake. It's ok though. I have a 15T pinion that I can use for now, and I'll go pick up the 45T and 12T pinion. At least I'll have options.

Well guys, it's done.

I missed the 15% off eBay a few days ago but I just got an email saying 8% eBay bucks so I got it.

The Sport Kit is ordered at a total of $257 after eBay bucks(pretty much cash for me). No going back now!

EDIT: Fixed it. $257, not $157 lol.

If I run the Holmes TrailMaster 21 turn, what combo will give me the speed between the high and the low on the Defender?

Not sure, but I just stuck the motor in the kit with the stock gearing, and it seemed pretty fast. Of course, I haven't seen it to the wheels yet. I'll need to get to that part of the build and see how much the portals slow it down, but just from experience with some other trucks... it looked kind of faster than I wanted.
