I thought I read somewhere that the newer 1/10 Everest ships with aluminum (rather than the original black plastic) lockers? Can anyone confirm or deny this? Specifically I'm talking about the top half of this part, not the gear itself (could be a different color): 180009

That's too bad. I guess the Axial lockers (p/n AX30500) & Redcat axle-shaving are the way to go then.

I've had one for a couple weeks now. Posted pics on main page. I've put it through its paces with a 3s lipo and 4 wheel steering. Haven't stripped the stock ones yet. Have my fingers crossed. When I do, have a chance to pull them apart Bought from rc planet late feb.

As promised. They are plastic. [emoji17]

No still good. I really don't know how though. I've put it through hell and back. I'm going to fill the cups with marine epoxy while I have them out. Until I upgrade later. I went with a steel jb weld instead. I used a zip lock bag like an icing funnel. Mix, cut, pour... no mess.

Thats for a different activity. I Mixed jb in the bottom corner of a sandwich bag, cut the tiny corner, and poured or squeezed out.
